Introduction Of Aya (Roosland)

((Just a note to say this is my first ever thread so i'm sorry if it's no good))

Aya was standing by the shore of Roosland, looking out at the open water with the small fishing boat carrying her father to the mainland drifting out of sight. She sighed to herself as she wondered what the next chapter of her life would reveal.

She had never lived alone before and had looked after her father for as long as she could remember. With her father now going to live with her more capable aunt, Aya found herself surrounded by choices; Should she stay on Roosland and continue her father's business or go off and live her own adventures. She had always wondered what was out there, beyond the village. Travellers came and went almost everyday, there must be someplace to go or see more exciting than the sleepy little fishing harbour. Someplace magical with spectacular people, somewhere...

((Short but sweet, short but sweet

Jakole was skimming slowly across the plains of Roosland, wind blowing his hair back, luckely out of his eyes. He could see the faint, wiggly outline of a villaige through the summers heat. He decided this could be his first destination, as he pushed a little more energy into the movement as the board shot off at advanced speed towards the villiage...

As Jakole approached the villiage, he started to slalom the various buildings, grinding on the sides of buildings before the small villiage ended and he headed out towards a peaceful looking beach. He saw a figure standing, looking longinly out to see.
Jakole's heart skipped a beat.

He jumped off the board, retracting it immediatly into his pocket as he approached the young woman. He began to scratch the back of his neck, as he walked right up and stood behind her.
"So, what exactly is a girl like you doing standing here looking at the sea?" he said quietly.

"Thinkin," Aya replied. "whats a man like you doin walkin through this village? I mean, most travellers come by horse and cart, or even boat. They usually leave in the same way, but you don't even seem to have luggage and i've never seen you around before so... Where are you from?"
She turned and looked at the stranger. He looked like the travellers who passed through the village, except maybe a bit younger, and slightly more good looking. maybe this is my chance, she thought, he looks like the kinda guy who would have adventures! DON'T MESS THIS UP! She turned her gaze into a smile, hoping she hadn't sounded too rude earlier.
"Well..?" she asked.

Jakole listened to the girls words, and she turned, looking into his eyes with a smile.
His heart skipped a beat again. His mind whizzed with a single thought as he was suddenly lost for words.
Shit

His throat un-clogged itself, and he managed to reply.
"I live here. Well, not here exactly, you'd know me if I live here, but, ya know, here."
Don't muck this up you fool he thought to himself.
"On the Island. My house is off that way." He said, waving an arm towards his home-built house.

"So, what's your name?" He said.

There is a usual code that Jakole's master had tought him. Love get's in the way. Avoid it. Jakole wasn't sure what he felt, but his heart had skipped 2 beats, and he didn't know why. He tried to convince himself that it was just any other girl, but something nagged at him. He shook it off for now, continuing a cival conversation with this mysterious girl.

"Aya," Said Aya. This man was giving her a very strange look, plus he didn't seem to be able to remember how to keep a conversation flowing smoothly. Even so there was something interesting about him, something she couldn't explain.
Speak!, she thought, you need to say something now,
"What's yours?" Were the words she chose. Simple but affective she hoped.

"I'm Jakole," Jakole said. He was noticing things about himself that seemed different. For a start, he was sweating slightly. Not noticable to anyone else, but he was. Also, his legs seemed weak. He began to wonder, why is it even the strongest fighter can be brought down by a pretty woman? He still tried not to think of it, but the thought was nagging at his mind.

"I was wondering, but I'm just passing through. Wanna come with me, I'm off to find what my buddy Roos is up to, who knows what will happen."
Even as he said the words, he thought he could hear a crash, like a small demon on a pogo stick breaking a wall...



...but it may have been the wind.

Wow, Aya thought to herself, Adventures, Excitement, Absense of fish!!!
"Roos, who's that? Do you really want me to come with you?" There has to be a catch, there's always a catch "Whats the catch?" Aya was always very upfront with her thoughts and feelings but there was one she was trying very hard to suppress. A feeling she had never had before and she wasn't quite sure what it was. Either way it was making her fidget with her hair.

Jakole looked at the girl as she asked her first question.
"Yeah, sure. You look like you can hand..." Before he had finished, she butted in.
"What's the catch?"

"No catch! Just... difference I suppose." He said, with a grin. Aya began to fiddle with her hair. Freakily, at the same time, Jakole began to scratch his neck again...

He looked down at his feet, before looking Aya in the eyes again.
"So, what d'ya say? Want to come?" He said. He didn't quite know why he wanted the girl to come so badly, but he did.

Anyway, Roos always likes to meet new people...

"Um... well, ok then. I will! It sounds, interesting."
Aya couldn't believe what she was saying. She was accepting a journey with a complete stranger just because of something, well, unexplained.
What would her father say if he could hear this, but then, her father couldn't hear this.
Aya looked at Jakole, he was staring at his toes as if he had never seen them before and he kept rubbing his neck. This could be very interesting, she thought

Jakole nodded.
"Ok then, lets go," he said with a smile, pulling out his Hoverboard, and throwing it down onto the floor, expanding for 2 people as he did so. He jumped on, signalling for Aya to do the same. She did so, and the pair shot off, out of the village towards a faint castle on the horizon.
