A Quick Stop In Paradise

"Oof!"

Sand shot up onto the air as he came crashing down on the shores of Roosland (although he didn't know what this place was, especially not the name of it). "I gotta get used to that." Came his voice out from under the sand he had just crashed into. Naturally, he was referring to his new abilities. They were quite useful, as a matter of fact, but still a bit...uncontrollable.

Getting up, Lycan brushed the sand off of his body (especially out of his hair), looking around at the new scenery as he did so. When he was finished, he held up a hand, blocking out the high sun, as he gazed towards the beautiful landscape. "Whatever this place is, it sure is beautiful. Too bad I can't be staying long." And too bad it was. The landscape in front of him was absolutely gorgeous, one of the most beautiful places he had ever seen. However, his time on this beautiful island was to be a short one, as he could only stay for a quick rest. "Tournament. Ahh, such excitement." He muttered to himself about the upcoming event as he walked up the sandy beach.

*I gotta get this flying thing down, or else I'll be out by the first round.* He thought to himself idly as he found a tree to sit under, protecting himself from the heavy sun for the moment. Naturally, he was a person who loved the light; but after flying all day towards the sun, with it right in his eyes, it was difficult to be loving towards it as he usually was. The whole day he hadn't seen one cloud, and it threatened to put him in a grumpy mood, one that which he didn't like to be in for longer than...well...0 seconds.

"Tournament?" A childish voice asked from behind the tree Lycan was resting against. Roos' neck extended, but his body didn't move, so his head came round the tree to arrive in front of Lycan.
"What's a tournament?" Roos asked innocently. He had come over here after leaving Carniku to help back at the castle. He'd needed a little "Roos time" so decided to wander his own land for a little while. That's when he'd sense the stranger's sudden arrival, and decided to go check it out. Roos' body followed after his head, so he stood in front of Lycan and, with his arms crossed, stated,
"I'm Roos, King of Roosland! Who 'oo and what's a tournament?" Roos hadn't competed in any of Eden's Tournaments since his arrival, and had no idea what one was. He sort of remembered Carniku mentioning it and actually competing in one when he arrived... But he never said what they actually are. Maybe the stranger can help!

Carniku had finished repairing his room and had gotten a sandwhich out of the fridge, just a light snack, a 2 foot baguette filled with meat and cheese. He floated over Roosland scoping out the simple fishermen that lived as Roos' unwitting subject. He saw his little buddy talking with a guy he didn't really recognise, he swung around and his aura flared to stop himself. He looked sorta familiar, gently he floated down to the ground and landed besides Roos still munching on his Sandwhich
"Hey Roos... Wait a minute... Did you come with us to Volgondia?" He was looking at the stranger but something told him he recognised him. Well, it was good to see he got back from Volgondia, but he still hadn't seen Asparoukh after the final Battle. Or Jakole. Where was 'Kole? As his mind started wondering his Sandwhich dripped cheese onto the ground and he stopped chewing his mouthful.

Lycan didn't miss a beat. He wasn't one to be alarmed in such a peaceful place; he knew there could be no evil in such beauty. However, he could sense the strength in the...err...head that floated in front of him. It was no surprise to him; he was used to seeing strange things now. When the rest of the body finally came to the head, Tunks (as was his original name) only smiled at the creature, and without missing a beat replied.

"Why hello Roos, King of Roosland! My name is Tunks, but my friends call my Lycan. Tell me, is this Roosland? The land you are king of? Thy land contains such beauty; I wish I could see more of it!" Standing up after his short rant, Lycan realized how short the creature was, but recognized (now that the whole body was standing firmly in front of him) the strength in him. "Oh almost forgot. A tournament. Yes, a Martial Arts Tournament to be exact. One which great fighters from all around Eden come to compete against each other to see who the greatest fighter there is. You seem like a strong creature yourself; can you fight?" Lycan inquired as a familiar friend landed next to them (*I really need to learn how to land like him,* he thought annoyingly to himself). "Why yes, I am the one who wished back the warrior before going off to that great planet. I believe I remember you as well. Are you competing in the tournament at all?" Tunks' ever present smile shined even in the shade of the tree, his teeth gleaming white as he talked to his new found friends.

Carniku's eyebrow shot up and he looked inquisitive
"That's a little formal... Lycan, right? Hak's buddy. We're headed over to the tournement soon, I'm making sure to get a good booking in this time. Last time the people threw TV's and stuff at me. I wasn't very popular..." He didn't add in that he'd heard Zach wouldn't be there so he had a decent chance. He was also hoping Frey wouldn't remember how he snuck through the round by default when he failed to turn up. But, being fair, he may well be laying drunk somewhere... snapping back Carniku grinned at Lycan and nodded his head
"Welcome to our humble Island of Fishermen and super powerful warriors, care for some sandwhich?" Carniku held out the end of his now mostly eaten sandwhich, it'd be cool if this guy was in the tournement, he looked like a decent challenge and Carniku needed to try out his new move.

*A little formal?* He waved the thought off. Nodding to Carniku's question (Lycan finally remembered his name), he only smiled when the boy mentioned him as 'Hak's buddy'. He hadn't seen Hakuto in god knows when, and missed him dearly. Next he frowned as Carniku proceeded to tell him about how very unpopular he was at the last tournament. "Well that isn't very nice. However, shall we go together than? I assume by we you mean you and Roos, although he says he doesn't even know what a tournament is! Why is that?" He questioned before the boy went on to welcome to their land.

Declining the sandwich offer (although he wasn't one to deny food, his stomach was feeling like it contained a basket full of butterflies, and he didn't think food was the solution to this feeling), he only smiled at the welcome, leaning against the tree as he did so. "This is such a beautiful land, how did you come to own it?" He asked nonchalantly.

"Docile Take-over, we kind of asked to own it and the guys didn't mind" Carniku shook his head an looked oddly at Roos "Bud, didn't I tell you that we were training for the Tournement? What did you think all that time Xarius' Gravity room was for?" He smiled at Roos then re-focused his attention on Lycan
"Well, we were gonna go with our friends but I haven't seen 'Kole or Gareeku since they joined TEMPLAR and Xarius has been helping us repair the castle since we beat the Apocalypse Saiyan, dunno if he's ready to go. Since you need someone to go with, sure, if you need to rest or train we live at the Castle. Roos' own Castle Comealot, complete with Gravity room, Wide-screen TV, Roos Royal Crown, Sceptre and Blanky and-" Carniku's eyes turned misty as he said "The best Kitchen/Fridge combo KNOWN TO MAN!" He looked off into the distance lost in his own little world of culinary paradise.

While Carniku and Tunks spoke to each other, Roos was still grappling with the idea of a tournament. Fighting to prove who's the best? Roos smiled. Zammy had told him about things like that.
"No publicity is bad publicity, Roos. A lot of people belive that celebrities are the best thing to aspire to. Roosland could use their own celebrity..." Roos snapped his fingers and cried,
"Yeah! Tourney! Roos'll win and show everybody how tough he is!" Roos pointed at Lycan and said,
"You tough right? 'Oo are now an honourary Rooslander Fighter!" Roos saluted him with his own unique salute. Saluting, holding his hand in a fist, and smacking himself in the fore-head. He turned to Carniku and poked him in the chest, saying,
"Go find Xa. We all gonna head to da tourney togeva!" He spread his arms wide in a grand gesture. He was quite proud of his plan. If a Rooslander won the tournament, then the publicity they got would be huge! And Roosland has several strong fighters... and even competing in the tournament might get some attention. Plus, Roos could always use more training. All in all, nothing could go wrong!

Raising an eyebrow at Carniku's reply, Tunks couldn't believe how simple it was. *I suppose a land like this wouldn't have an army or government...at least not until these two guys came.* He thought wonderingly to himself, not really considering the fact that these could be two children 'pretending' that they owned the island. Did I mention that he was used to seeing strange things?

Lycan's ears perked up as 'Niku began speaking to him again. His eyebrows continued to rise higher and higher as the boy kept on talking and talking, until finally, his stomach let out a loud groan. "Heh, well that kitchen/fridge combo does sound kinda nice. But," he paused to smile maliciously, "do you have the best COOK known to man?" Tunks beamed proudly at this. He knew that no one could beat him in cooking. There was just no chance. His mom was by far the BEST cook EVER, and since she passed her skills onto him...well, you get the idea.

Lycan woke from his thoughts at Roos' voice, which was now very excited for the upcoming tournament. He could only laugh as his ears perked again at hearing that he was now 'an honorary Rooslander Fighter!'. It was then that he picked up on the thoughts of Roos. Well, his mind was a strong one (even if a bit...simple), so he couldn't exactly read it, but he could get the general idea of the creature's excitement. *Publicity for Roosland? Ha, sure why not.* He thought, smiling his usual toothy smile.

"Best Cook... not exactly..., but he's hardly a bad one, he's always complaining that he has no help" He stuck his hands in his pockets and rolled his eyes. Roos poked him and he quietly let out an ow before responding.
"I don't know where Xarius is, we'll have to meet him there. Alright we should probably get going guys." Carniku floated up into the air and stroked his chin, he had a decent idea where the Tournement would be but he wasn't absolutely certain... He looked down at Roos and Lycan
"Do you guys know which way the Tournement is? I forgot which city they held it in"

Roos rolled his eyes to look to Lycan and said,
"Roos barely know what a tourney is, how Roos know where it bein' held?! Stupid 'Niku." He sighed and took to the air as well, looking back in the direction of Castle Comealot. He'd sense Xarius' arrival there and could just about see the enormous structue of his home. He pointed towards the castle and said,
"Roos house! See it?" He was smiling eagerly, pleased he had a new person to show his kingdom to. Then he remember Lycan sort of boasting about his cooking skills and snapped his fingers, with another idea.
"Come work in my castle! 'Oo can be our cook!" he said to Lycan, pointing excitedly at the castle and bouncing up and down in mid-air.

Tunks laughed at Carniku's comment. *These two are definitely the funniest, if not the strangest people I have ever met,* he thought as his smile grew bigger. It was then that 'Niku began floating up, asking where the tournament was. "Yes, I believe we should head our way there now. I was headed that until I had to take a rest here. Flying is a bit...err...new to me." He forced down a blush as he too began floating up into the sky.

Lycan watched as the creature named Roos began bouncing up and down in mid-air as he pointed to his..."Castle? Very nice Roos! I would love to work there," he took a moment to chuckle at the thought, and then went on, "but I'm afraid we should head to the tournament first. Afterwards though." Turning to Carniku, he began slowly floating higher into the sky as he spoke, "Guess we'd best be off 'Niku. The tournament is being held in Isysia, in the Western Great Continent. Shall we?" Lycan asked, casually holding out a hand in front of him.
