OOC: (I’m actually going to continue this post, unlike all my other half assed ones. So get ready! And feel free to join in if you choose)
“Shino…”
His mind was lost, racing through a seemingly empty forest. His legs were rhythmic; left, right, left, right, it all seemed to fake, but so real at the same time. Shino vaulted over a fallen log, the moss had expanded its territory, claiming the log as its own. Shino wasn’t sure where he was going, he wasn’t sure what was following him, all he could do was run and run, running to the end of an endless forest, trying to take the last step on a stairway of eternity. Then his head spun, and teeth encroached, trying to take something that wasn’t theirs, the ivory teeth grew larger and larger. When it stopped.
“Shino? Are you awake?”
It stopped, and it was gone forever. A strange euphoria had touched him, the feeling of endlessness, something humans shouldn’t be capable of understanding. Maybe he wasn’t human, maybe he was…but it was just a dream, and dreams aren’t real. He rubbed his eyes and wiped away all the eye gook. It took no time for him to adapt to the light change, due to his special ability.
“Yeah, I’m awake…but I was having a good dream”
Shino smiled.
“But don’t worry. It’s time for me to pack up”
Shino had been hitching rides all over the place, and finally he settled on a nice little bed and breakfast up in the snowy hills of Generica. He hadn’t been in the snow for at least 10 years, so it was nice to wake up and go have snowball fights; something he missed about his childhood.
“Thanks for waking me Ami, I’ll get ready”
Ami smiled, she was the nicest girl ever. Only 17 years old and she was living on her own, running a small bed and breakfast in the ice capped hills of Generica. But, she had done a very good job, keeping everything together. Shino needed to make haste, he was supposed to check out of his room at around 11:00, but it was already 11:23, he had 7 minutes. He grabbed the scroll from the ground and strapped it around his waist with a massive rope. He then clipped his umbrellas onto a new holster, just a simple cloth strap that around his waist; they sat like samurai swords would on a samurai. Shino ruffled his hair, letting it naturally puff up, he then flew to the door, leaped off the edge of the third level, and shot towards the ground.
Flying was something he could only dream of, for some reason he could never gain the ability to float; but at least he had all of his other abilities. He landed on the ground with a loud thump; all the other quests looked around, startled by the heavy landing. Shino chuckled and threw a few coins on the table.
‘Bye Ami! Ill be back in a few weeks!” He flew out the door, when an unexpected blast of cold air shot him in the face. He smiled and closed the doors behind him.
“Here I go…”
