A sudden purple explosion appeared from nowhere tearing large islands of ice apart as the shock waves blasted outwards. A large purple orb of energy hovered several feets above the icy water, the sheer power of the energy pushed the water away as the orb slowly faded away. Revealing a familiar figure hanging in the air, half alive before falling limp on a ice flake. [glow=blue,2,300]"Where.....am I.....can't...remember...*uuughh*."[/glow] The person fainted, seeming totally exhausted for any power. A sea of images ran through his head as he drifted into the void, images of an old man in a lab coat, images of cities in ruins, of himself strapped inside a giant tube, the face of a laughing familiar figure...king of Xennar, tyrant of his people. [glow=red,2,300]"I'm....I'm.....home?"[/glow] The figure muttered as he tried to stand up, one knee at the time. Dressed in rags barely covering his body, one could see that it was Xarius. Though terribly scarred and stripped of all his aura of a mighty warrior, more like a pity diseased beggar.
Xarius looked at his hands, seeing scars inside both of his palm. The result of torture or perhaps worse. His head hurted like giant boulders came crashing down on his head, in fact his whole body felt mistreated in every way possible. [glow=red,2,300]"I.....I.....am......damned...."[/glow] Xarius said with a chill voice as he grit his teeths, clenching his fists. The feeling of fire spread inside his whole body, put his soul on fire. [glow=yellow,2,300]"I am damned!!!"[/glow] Xarius cried out as his aura exploded in a fire aura, melting the snowflake he stood on in seconds. Though it was a last burst of energy as Xarius collapsed moments later and fell in the icy water. Drifting away.
Like through glass, Xarius watched himself lying in what looked like a huge glass container. Filled with some green liquid, yet he didn't drown as it seemed the liquid allowed normal breathing. There were all sorts of tubes and wires attached to his body. And he saw himself twitching in pain, yet it seemed like he was in some sort of slumbering state. Xarius could remember something familiar with this dream, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what. Suddenly everything became dark, pitch black. Before the dream shifted location to a ruined city in flames, burning bodies scattered beneath a hovering figure. A figure shrouded in darkness, laughing while shooting fire balls down on the scattered survivors. A burning blaze rose from the ground as the picture zoomed in on the figure, with a shock Xarius saw himself.
The scenery shifted back to the glass container, now with a scientist moving around the glass container smiling. [glow=red,2,300]"You have done well, Reaver-X01. You might very well be the one I have been looking for."[/glow] The scientist turned around, allowing Xarius to see his face. A face that he could somewhat remember, a face that filled him with the burning desire for vengeance. Dr. Blaudo, mad scientist of the Shadow plane.
The scenery shifted yet again, now showing the lab room with the glass container only as a huge crater. A winged angelic figure hovering above, surrounded by darkness. Knocking away incoming Shade warriors away like they were flies. Xarius could feel the terrible energy radiating from the figure, stronger than anything he had felt before. Just then a bright flash blurred the whole vision.
Xarius found himself now back in the real world, hovering above the water he had just recently fallen into, or so he thought. His mind worked quite slowly as he tried assemble all the fragments inside his head. One thing he knew was that he was back on Eden, the life signatures of it's inhabitants were hard to forget. [glow=red,2,300]"I am cursed...I should leave this planet when I have the chance...."[/glow] Xarius said calmly as he studied a pair of tribal tattoos on his forearms.
"Anyways I can't stand and do nothing, I'd better stagger myself back home somehow..." Xarius muttered to himself hoping one of the scientists on Roosland could tell him what alterations were done to him recently. All he can remember comes from his frequent visions and dreams. His fire red aura radiated faintly around him as he cruised towards Roosland, he did not have the strenght yet to use dimension door. Nor dared he, for whoever did this to him could be there still. It was just now Xarius got to think of Eden, he had been away for some time and alot had probably happened during his time away. He wondered how Roos and Carniku would react, for they probably wondered where the hell he had been. He played around with the thought for awhile, unaware of the sinister device in the back of his skull. Like a tumor waiting to spread.
