Carniku landed heavily as his energy flickered out, and as he stumbled he fell head over heels through the thick grass that stood on one of the magnificent cliffs looking out over Roosland. He rolled down the bank of light green shoots until he emerged on a soft dirt trail of yellowing dust. He pushed himself up and dusted himself off so he looked respectable before continuing, he looked a little scruffy since Roos had raised the barrier around the island and he'd flown straight into it. He'd had to convince Zammy to give him a hole just so he could get in, now he was, he realised that Roosland had been hit pretty hard by this whole 'Registration' garbage. He started walking along the track lost in his thoughts, he thought back to Musashi and how he should really be looking for him. But his duty was to Roosland, he didn't really have any obligation to look for him. Because of his actions, 8 Roosland citizens had been killed by those Shadow Creatures, and no matter what he said, everything else he did was his attempt to avenge those he'd lost. One of them, as it had happened, was the mother of the girl who worked the Roosland gift shop, the one he had a thing for, and seeing her so emotionally devastated reminded him uncomfortably of his own pain at losing people. Even fighting against that amazingly powerful warrior in the ruins of a city hadn't eleviated any fears, if anything, transforming into that new form had given him more. He decided it needed a name and from the markings he'd noticed during the fight he thought "Omega" sounded about right. Maybe they were right, maybe they needed registering to keep the other people safe, show some responsibility. He was so lost in thought that he almost missed the small wooden shack he passed, he stopped suddenly and looked at it curiously. An elderly woman tottered out with a large simmering pot of stew held in her hands. It looked enormously heavy but she was holding it fairly easily. Seeing no reason to appear rude he cleared his throat awkwardly and waved a hand at her
"Ummm, hello?"
"Oh! Hello there, you must be that young boy from the castle. Inuzuki?"
"That's right, uhhh, why are you out here? Shouldn't you guys be living in a city?"
"Oh no dear, me and my husband have lived here for years"
"I see..." Carniku said, a little worried that an old couple were living way out here. He was about to say something when he noticed a monkey's tail swishing through the air behind her as she rested the pot down
"There we are," she sighed, satisfied
"Your a Saiyan!?"
"Of course deary, would you care for some stew?"
"Uhhh, I'm fine, thanks... But Ma'am, aren't you worried about the registration act?"
"The what?" The old lady asked and Carniku felt like all the wind had gone out of him. Was the act already law? Would they really send armed soldiers to forcibly register an old couple who lived in the countryside of Roosland? Surely not... But nevertheless...
Carniku's departure made the old lady a bit fretful, what on earth was registration? Why would anyone want for her and her husband to be registered? And registered for what? She continued pacing until a man in body armour and with a serrated silver mohawk on his helmet appeared
"Excuse me, ma'am? I'm Joshua, I was sent by... Mr Zamodier" Joshua chose wisely to avoid Zammy's real title, that would undoubtedly cause an even worse reaction if she didn't know him and the Count's story didn't make this seem likely. The old lady blinked at him a few times before asking kindly
"Would you like some soup?"
"There, I sent someone. Feel better?"
"Much, thanks Zammy" Carniku smiled as he chatted freely on his, seemingly indestructible, mobile phone. He could see Castle Come-a-lot now as he crested the hill he was climbing.
"Any time, although now I'm curious... do we have any more Saiyans still on the island?"
"Do we have any other saiyans, period?"
"Well, Pepper and Niono aside, we always have Xarius"
"Yeah, if he was around" Carniku scoffed as he started down the trail leading to the main city of Roosland, what had Roos called it? He was vaguely aware he'd named a lake "Niku's Dumb" and the river flowing out of it "And he smells". His memory was sharply interuptted by a revelation from Zammy that made him first look stunned then grin from ear to ear
"Well, he is. He returned quite recently"
"Seriously? AWESOME!" Before he could get a reply, Carniku snapped his phone shut and launched into the sky shooting towards Come-a-Lot, one of his best friends was back, he definitely needed to go see this. It sounded like the Roosland Triumvirate was back in business, and, in Carniku's mind, no matter what Eden had in store there was no way that the three of them couldn't handle it. Except, maybe, each other...
((OOC: Xarius! Get your butt in here, we need a fight ;D))
