(Whoever posts here first should give a description of the crowd and kind of play the announcer. Build some scenery. Use the description of the arenas on the Rules and Announcements board as a guide if you need it.)
Stadium 5's small size was a far cry from the grandeur of Io's Colosseum, but still beautiful. The ring looked exactly the same, but the stands were shorter and there was much less staff on hand. Still, as last year's runner-up, Indigo drew lots of attention. And his explosive start in round one drew an even larger crowd. Tickets sold out and every seat was filled early. Vendors paraded up and down the steps waving red-ropes in wide loops in the air, nearly slapping those seated near the aisles.
When Indigo walked down that short tunnel and the gate opened to let him into the ring, he felt less intimidated than before. There were less people, they weren't as loud, and he'd learned to drown out the noise. He gave a couple of waves on his way to the ring's center, where he did some last minute stretching and waited for Dale. He wondered what he looked like. "Good luck to you, Indigo," said the announcer, who snuck up behind him, holding his microphone low against his waist, waiting for the cue to begin. "Thanks, I appreciate it," the Juin replied.
(OOC: Indigo wins by default? Thats just not cool guys, not cool at all)
The crowd began to become restless as the timer for disqualification finally sounded. The crowd really went into an uproar as the annoucer made his way to the ring. He placed his microphone to his mouth and spoke, "The deadline for this match has past and Dale has not arrived. Therefore I declare the winner to be Indigo!" A roar of yells and curses were heard across the ring as the announcer walked off the ring and away.
Indigo went through his whole stretching routine for its entire ten minute duration, expecting Dale to interrupt him at any moment so the match could begin. The crowd was growing restless and he was growing anxious. He half wanted Dale to show up so he could fight him, but the idea of getting a Round 2 "Bye" was appealing too. After another five minutes he laid down on the concrete and waved his arm towards his duffle, which a nearby attendant was holding. The bag unzipped and a novel shot out and into Indigo's hands. On the cover, a Fabio figure was carressing a beautiful woman; the title read, The Romance of War.
He immediately flipped to the right page and started reading. As always, it wasn't long before he was lost in the pages, and his mind was wandering to a far-off place, to romantic villas and beautiful women. He was getting to the best part where the reluctant lovers were finally alone and the tension was building between them. She walked slowly towards him and he pulled her close. He grabbeded her hand gently and she stepped backwards, leading him towards the bed with one hand while holding onto her robe with the other. She whispered his name... "Indigo... Indigo..."
The Juin snapped out of his trance, someone was calling him, "Indigo. Indigo!" "Huh, what? Oh sorry. What is it?" "Dale didn't show, you've won." "Oh really?" he put down the book and sat up. He noticed some of the crowd booing, some cheering, and some leaving their seats, and heading for the gates, "Hm. How disappointing. I really wanted to fight him, too. Has the bell rung already?" "Yep, a minute ago, but you seem to have really been caught up in your book, I've been tapping you this whole time! What is it that you're reading anyways?" "Ohh... nothing, nothing at all. Just about a huge Juin war. Huge huge war, lots of death." He threw the book and it immediately flew--over 50 feet-- straight into his bag at high speed, knocking the duffle out of the attendant's hands. Then the zipper shut and the bag flew back at Indigo. He caught it and started walking out of the ring. "Thanks for the victory," he said to the announcer as he left towards the locker rooms, "I'll see you in the Quarterfinals."
After a quick change of clothes in the locker room, he looked at its watch. "Ahh, perfect, Garin. Gage's match should still be on. I can watch it live!" He instantly teleported out of the room and headed for the other stadium.
