The delicate articulation of the tourmanet arena was amazing. It was almost enough to distract a fighter from his upcoming fight. As soon as Gokan stepped through the doors leading to the ring, he was stricken with awe. It was an amazing sight, one of which he hadn't seem for quite some time. The last place he had seen as beautiful as the arena was his temple back on Tarei-jin. Everything else he has seen has been subpar compaired to it, but this was an exception. It took a few seconds for Gokan to notice, but the arena was packed to its copacity. The chrowd was cheering with intensity, as if they were the ones actually fighting. Looking up, Gokan saw the giant projection screen, which, at the moment, was broadcasting his face to the denizens in the arena, making it easier to see his face. Almost immediately afterwards, the chants became louder, and more feminine. It seems that Gokan just got a fan-club.
After absorbing the sights in, he began to focus on the fighting ring. It was circular and large. It wasn't big enough for a real fight, but for the tournament, he thought it was a decent size. But, there was that lingering thought that had him believing as the tournament goes on, the ring will seem a little clostrophobic since they'll be confined to it. As he lets his body relax, Gokan, moving at a steady pace, heads towards the ring, the chants growing louder with each step. Within moments, the Saiyan was standing on the outskirts of the ring. To the right of him were metal steps to aid the fighters up to the ring, which was four feet off of the ground.
Gokan thought the steps were worthless. He can easily jump up to the ring. Even if he couldn't, he could fly, so it wouldn't be a problem anyway. So, not even bothering, the Saiyan leaps up to enter the ring. Once on the slab, he slowly spins around, his vision absorbing the sights of the crowd. Twenty thousand people, all here to watch Gokan fight. Aside from his opponents name, Gokan knew nothing about Bolt. That would make the fight surprising, and of course, more interesting. To prepare, Gokan begins to stretch to loosen his muscles up. Afterwards, he cracks his knuckles and then punches the ring. To his surprise, it didn't leave a pot-hole, let alone crack.
"It doesn't break," Gokan announces to his surprise, "Interesting." The ring not breaking was an interesting twist. There's no worry about tripping over a pot hole, but since it doesn't give, hitting it will be very unforgiving. Falling would be something Gokan would make sure wouldn't happen. As he waits for his opponent, Bolt, to show up, Gokan simply lays down, obviously a non-chalant move, as he waits.
(Bolt was a no-show, so by default, Gokan is the winner!!!)
The arena was too quiet for anyone to know what the heck was going on. Gokan stood in the arena, awaiting his match...but where was his opponent?
The announcer -- a man who was "vertically challenged" in a black uniform and a pair of shades over his eyes -- looked around in disbelief. "Uhh..." he muttered in disbelief, scratching the back of his head, "Will Bolt please come to the arena?" There was no response. Another official from the tournament shuffled up to the announcer, muttering a few things to him. Almost everyone's eyes were fixed upon the two. Because of the microphone, the audience could pick out "Can we really do that?"
Knowing good and well he couldn't jump up onto the arena, he used the set of metal steps that was left, neglected since Bolt hadn't come to fight. He scurried over to Gokan as fast as his stubby legs would allow. He grapsed Gokan's hand, and raised it as high as his arm was -- its equivelant was Gokan's waist. "Because of some minor difficulties, the winner, by defauls, is Gooooooooookan!!" Many of the people cheered for the Saiyan, who just stood there (You can reply to this Gokan, to explain how he feels about it, if you want).
