Gage watched the Ki hands take his energy, but didn't pay too much attention to that. Later it might have cost him. The energy let out from the Juin's hands only halfway hit their destination, but it was enough to knock him to the ground. Gage was about to pounce on the downed Vigaroth when yet another flash nearly blinded him. Instictively he put up his hands to block, but the uncontrolled Ki was nearly impossible to hold off with physical means. He had no choice but to use his mind to regain it. It pushed on his hands and burnt like fire, but the psychic still held on. Finally the energy gave way and the Ki became his once again.
Gage saw the clock at ten seconds and decided to seize the opportunity. Omen was down, the Ki hands had just let off an attack. This was his chance to finish the match. Gage jumped up and jacked his hands backwards; they formed a ball behind his head. The hands glowed with a white aura, for they had all the energy Ki-Hands had launched at Gage. He shot his hands forward and the energy came out as a controlled beam, heading straight towards Omen.
To stop any kind of interferance by the energy hands, Gage teleported up to them and attempted to hold them with his controll of Ki. While doing that, he inched closer through the air to the hands, hoping he still had enough mind power to hold him. Gage began punching the hands, and that's when the Ki hit either Omen or the ground behind him. Gage used the technique he used to dodge the shockwaves to avoid the explotion and then teleported to see what had happened to his opponent. The clock, of course, caught his eye before seeing the outcome of his attack.
Omen got up slowly from the ground breathing hard, his body aching, his head throbbing, and his fighting spirit dwindling. He sensed the energy that Omen meant to use against Gage, was now reversed once again and was being used on Omen. Gage was a very formidable opponent with the most incredible moves Omen had to defend against. As Omen watched his opponent rear back his hands for one last, ditch effort for victory, Omen couldn't help but wonder what a great match this had been. But every thing has to end at some time, and this bout was seconds from being stopped.
Omen looked at the oncoming beam through half-opened eyes and with a expressionless face. Omen dropped to one knee for he knew what was coming. He dropped his head ashamed that it had to end like this. A Vigaroth being defeated without a fight. Being defeated by a mere beam. Omen's head then shot up surprising everyone watching including himself. He stood up on his two legs and looked at the approaching beam defiantly. Omen ran at it, yelling at the top of his lungs, and his last bits of energy escaping his body through his aura. Omen was running so fast he actually broke through Gage's psychic constraints. Omen met the beam, halfway, and with a mighty punch that could be felt in the heavens.
And there Omen made his biggest mistake. When he punched the beam, he hit it with such a concentrated force that it tore through the molecular structure of the ki beam and caused it to explode outward with energy. Omen was not expecting this, as was anyone else, and received all of the escaping ki point blank. There was a bright light for a split second.
"Two... One" the crowd counted down along with the clock although they were oblivious to what just happened.
"STOP THE CLOCK!!!!!!!!!!" Yelled the referee.
The announcer looked at the referee confused just like the audience. There were boos, murmurs, confusion, and chaos. What had just happened? Why did the ref stop the match? And where the heck was Omen? The referee didn't have to say a single word. With one hand, one finger, he pointed to a random location outside of the ring. Everyone's head jerked to the location and everyone watching the match, locally and in a galaxy far far way, gasped in unison.
On the ground, lay none other than Omen... down and out!
(OOC: Congrats Gage, go ahead and write your winning post)
((a really great match, man. I enjoyed every minute of it. I hope we can fight again next year!))
Gage saw Omen rush at the Ki beam, with seemingly unlimited energy in him. Gage sensed he had already gone past his capacity, so where was this coming from? It made no logical sense, but it was happening. The Juin stared down at Omen as he punched the Ki beam. Like his opponent, Gage was blasted back; however, unlike him he wasn't directly hit. Gage hit the top barrier and richocheted down to the floor. He hit with a 'thud.'
Staggering up, he saw what had happened even before the judge screamed "Stop the clock!" Omen layed motionless on the ground. Litterally more than a billion people that were watching this match were in shock. Never before had they seen a match like this, and chances are they wouldn't see one like it again for two days...
Gage's hand was raised defiantly into the air, but he simply teleported out of the judges hands and bent down to his opponent. The Vigaroth was knocked out cold. "Your race is great, much like mine. You don't deserve a knockout loss." The psychic put his hands on Omen's head, and in a couple of seconds every single wound on his body was healed. Gage passed out, and the medical team rushed him off to the hospitol.
Gage has used his last ounce of energy to heal Omen.
((again, amazing match. good luck in future RPing to you!))
