Studying/Learning/Mastering

Phalluce geared up his PDA and located the recordings of the Mangellan War. During that war the original king that tasked Phalluce to recon various high-powered fighters was still alive. Within this PDA were recordings of those fighters in action, fighting and/or using their techniques. Since the king was killed, nobody really needed these recordings so they lay forgotten for some time. However now that the world martial arts tournament was proceeding as usual, these recordings have become more than useful.
He started playing through the recordings, nothing how each fighter fought. Phalluce’s main goal wasn’t to learn their techniques but to learn the common things that he lacked, such as the ability to fly or the ability to ‘teleport’ around the battlefield.
He looked on quizzically as he attempted to study how the fighters flew; of course the ability is so simple that it almost becomes a natural ability. Obviously, Phalluce couldn’t figure out how they did it just by watching the recordings. Phalluce shook his head and switched off his PDA, he was getting restless after that fiasco of a battle against that human.
“God, that was some ‘fight’. It was impossible to drag it on; the boredom would have killed me! Well, I’m taking that the first round will weed out all the incompetent people and the unlucky ones. The second round should be most interesting…”
Phalluce glanced across his room before his eyes rested on his Juin flight gear, which he kept in his hotel room. He narrowed his eyes as a thought struck him on the principles of the Juin flight pack.
The flight pack was designed to efficiently propel a Juin soldier through the air without extensive use of his own energy. The suit would channel the ki and raise the soldier higher into the air. When Phalluce had used the flight suit he could feel his ki being channelled. Energy would traverse through his veins and create a cushion of sorts directly under him, almost touching.
Phalluce fell back and laughed a bit at how simple flight could be… and yet his race was never able to figure it out, nor decide to try it. “This proves that everybody truly needs others to survive in this universe.”<br>
“Well, I can’t start dallying now. I’ve got work to do, to master flight for my next battle. It should prove very useful.”
