(OOC: This takes place directly after the events of Prologue to Exile
Spirit world was in turmoil, the deceit of its own deities had destroyed the unity the held the world together. Yomi’s men had successfully invaded spirit world and had begun exercising his dominance by destroying anyone who refused to bow to him.
Many of the demons from underworld looked at Yomi as a hero; he was breaking down the barriers between the two worlds, creating a sense of equality. Others feared Yomi’s iron rule and kept their distance, as they felt that he would murder any who opposed at the slightest disagreement; you were either with him, or against him these two groups consisted of 99% of the inhabitants of Spirit Realm. Like every society there is the minority, the 1% if you will. That 1% consisted of a very small dysfunctional group of all forms. This 1% did not agree with the dealings of spirit realm prior to the occupation of Yomi and his forces, but on the opposite side, did not agree with the current tyrannical rule of Yomi, preferably they wished for 100% freedom, these inhabitants wished for anarchy.
Many had died in the fight for total freedom leaving very few to continue on, one of which was a familiar face. What seemed to be many moons ago, a young male demon, who had managed to find his way to a planet by the name of Eden, and due to uncontrollable events was shifted back to a world that he barely knew and could barely feel an attachment too.
“Foolishness.” A black cloaked male said as he peered down from his perch at the top of the tallest figure in Demon World.
“Utter foolishness, they all sit there like ducks in a line waiting to get shot down one by one. Ha, they deserve it” he said to himself again as he continued to watch the citizens go about their everyday business.
“Why was I brought to this place? I have no connection; I feel no link to this place. Yet I find myself cursed once again this place is not for me, this is not my home. Full of pathetic wastes of flesh and bone, and not one in the bunch even remotely worth killing.” He said again as he cloak caught a small breeze and began to flap in the air revealing his sword strapped across his back.
“Who am I kidding? I need to get the hell out of this dump.” He said again as he stood up and began jumping from roof to roof.
“I live to suffering, I will never be able to find peace so I spread despair.” The black haired male said again as his speed increased even further.
“..Only the strong survive, and I am the strongest. Today I return to Eden” He spoke again as he came to a complete stop at the entrance to Demon realm.
“..and the only way to do so, is by force.” He said again as he walked towards the entrance only to be greeted by two sentries.
“None shall pass, this is the entrance to Demon World, only those coming to the world may pass through this, and you my friend are on the wrong side.” One sentry said as he stood in the young male’s way.
“Now head back down or be moved by forced!” The second sentry chimed in also stepping in the way.
“Hm, let me ask you a question. Do you value life?” The usurper asked.
“What do you mean do we value life of course we-“ The sentries retorted being interrupted by the young man again.
“If you say you do, than why do you foolishly risk it defending something that you know nothing about? Why do you risk your life on something you were merely told to do, but have no sentimental value to?” He questioned calmly as he stood there with his arms folded.
“We are bound by honor to-“ They piped up again as they began to raise their voices letting their tempers flare up before being interrupted by the male’s sword slicing their heads off.
“Now tell me, was it worth it?” He asked with a grin as he stepped over the headless bodies of the sentries.
“How rude, didn’t even offer up a response.” He laughed as he walked through the gate and found himself back in the check in station much to the alarm of everyone working.
“Hiei!” Enma shouted from behind his desk as he dropped his stamp.
“You know you shouldn’t be back here! Get back to demon world before they have you banished to limbo.” He said with obvious concern.
“Listen kiddo. I’m not going anywhere unless I want to go there, understood?” Hiei said as he phased on Enma’s desk right in from of him placing the tip of his sword in is face.
“U-understood!” Enma said with great panic as he began to sweat, he had known Hiei for quite some time and knew he held no remorse at all for anyone and would likely jump at the chance to give him a lobotomy with his sword.
“See, now we’re talking business.” Hiei said with an impish grin on his face.
“So, how about you just go ahead and grant me permission to return to Eden, alright little fella?” Hiei said sternly again, still with his sword in Enma’s face.
“Right away!” Enma scrambled as he began to frantically stamp papers.
“Done!” Enma said again as he held up the paper granting Hiei access his leave from the Spirit Realm.
“See, that wasn’t so difficult, now was it? You know little guy together we work magic. See you around.” Hiei declared as he flashed a very arrogant grin while grabbing the paper and jumped down from his desk and towards the entrance back to the mortal living world.
“Phew, that was a close one.” Enma said with a great sigh of relief as 2 blue ogres crept up from under his desk, for which they took shelter under.
“Y-Yeah… tell us about it!” They exclaimed as they both got the evil eye from Enma who was less than thrilled with their ‘bravery’.
“..and where the heck does he get off making all those short comments! I was given this form as punishment I can’t say the same for him.”Enma snapped aggressively.
“I never should have gotten rid of him.”Enma muttered to himself as he recalled the day he day he banished Hiei from spirit world, presumably to his death.
“He could have been saved.” Enma said lowering his head in regret.
