Mostly, it consists of cooking equipment, bedding, spare clothes, and the special weapons he isn’t currently using. SPECIAL SKILLS: Jericho is a master with all forms of bladed weapon, and fairly skilled with his [1876 Winchester] and [1858 Remington]. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: PERSONALITY: When alone, Jericho is usually very pensive. He doesn't think aloud, but his mind is constantly musing about the workings of both the world around him, and the true nature of his own soul. Having left home so suddenly at nearly adulthood, he has forced himself to reach a level of maturity that most young men his age usually wouldn't achieve. When with other people, he very glibly offers his opinion about the subject at hand and doesn't particularly care whether he offends his companions or not. His logic is that if they weren't prepared for the answer, they shouldn't have asked the question. He also doesn't believe in beating around the bush, and prefers to ask straight to the point questions. In a group, he's a completley different person. He becomes loud, arrogant, and very mouthy. He doesn't pick fights, but he chooses his words to carefully goad someone into a scrap, from which he usually emerges the victor. He does so because he feels as if he earns respect and status when he defeats an opponent, certainly his reputation from the last few cultures he's visited will attest to his... shall we say, "adventures." His one and only goal for his life is to forever expand his collection of unique weapons. Already ten-strong, his ultimate wish is to reach one-hundred blades and weapons, each with unique abilities Likes: Cigarettes, chocolate, the color red, sunsets, and grilled meat. Dislikes: Vegetables, the color purple, and body odor. Loves: Fighting, sleeping, ladies, sleeping with ladies, and collecting weapons. Hates: Losing, mornings, and losing. HISTORY: Santa Cruz mountains in the late 1990's was a varied place. In the city proper, it was a bustling region of culture and commerce. The mountains and outskirts were big plots of land where a family could settle down and make their home however they pleased. Jericho was born in the city of Santa Cruz, but lived in the mountains to the east. Ever since he was young his vivid imagination took him to strange places he could never quite understand or describe. He would disappear for hours each day and return with wild stories about heros and villains and about how he saved the day. His family and friends nevery really put much stock into it, but when he disappeared for several months and returned with fresh scars and half his shirt missing, someone finally decided to listen. Only this time he didn't want to talk about it. What Jericho had never understood is that he is has been imbued with a one-in-a-trillion chance aberration of cosmic energy that allows him to transfer his being and consciousness an unimaginable distance. Whether this means through time and space, or across the dimensional barrier to parallel worlds, Jericho has never been sure. All he knows is that he will jump, seemingly at random, to places and cultures so foreign and outlandish he would have been deemed insane were he to describe them to the people back home. After the jump that kept him away for the first truly extended period of time, he seemed to change as a person. He became moody and silent, and he now spent all of his time in the woods except late at night when he would return to sleep. His solitude allowed him to hone his skills as a Traveler, control when he jumps, and further explore his abilities. Three weeks after his return, he vanished once more. Only this time, he never came back. He was seventeen. Fast-forward five years, and Jericho has found himself on yet another planet, another world. The landscape is surprisingly normal, but something thrums in the air, something that tells him there is more to be had from this jump than any of his previous adventures. SPECIAL ABILITIES: Basic Abilities Traveler’s Cache: This is how Jericho carries his many posessions. Every Traveller can create a personal pocket dimension where they store their items. This can be accessed subconsciously, which causes the desired item to simply appear in his hand. Traveler's Gear - Thermal Armor: the Traveler must be willing to face any situation, and the Conclave has granted Jericho just the thing to keep him alive in even the harshest of environs. A duster made of supple, brown leather that is decoratively embroidered with long, sweeping bands of an unknown metallic alloy. This metal creates an elemental field barrier that protects the wearer from intense heat and flame, or driving, freezing cold. The collar can be raised and clasped together, protecting the wearer's mouth, nose, and ears. A hat, laced with the same material, protects the rest of the wearer's head. The barrier only protects those shielded by the cloth. - Temperature Max: 2000°C - Temperature Min: -200°C - Image: Shivan Dusters: A pair of blades that fit together like Yin and Yang. Each one is sharp as obsidian glass and has the ability to slice through any energy attack. When fit together, they form a chakram that can be thrown at any target. As icing on the cake, the weapon will always return to the user who threw it. - Hilt Length: 25.4 cm - Blade Length: 40 cm each, 80 cm together - Image: Whispersteel Dagger: When Jericho’s target requires stealth rather than the ability to fight, he calls upon this weapon to aid him. Simply holding the Dagger will silence all sound that an individual would make; whether its breathing, the ruffle of clothing, or footsteps at a full run, no sound can escape the influence of the Dagger. The blade wraps around the wielder’s fist, which makes it less ungainly than a straight blade would be. Such a design allows him to block attacks, or silently assassinate. - Hilt Length: 8.9 cm - Blade Length: 17.8 cm - Total Length: 17.8 cm linear, or 26.7 cm tip to end - Image: Claws of Raikou: The chosen weapons of the legendary, long-dead “Lord of Lightning,” the trio of blades that extend the reach of the user are razor sharp. The two claws wielded in conjunction grant the user an extreme increase in speed and reaction time. The user can move so quick as to leave an after-image, and strike so fast that wounds almost seem to materialize on the opponent’s body. - Hilt Length: N/A - Blade Length: 27.9 cm - Total Length: 30.2 cm - Image: Advanced Abilities Dreadnaut: Of Jericho’s better weapons, this is by far his heaviest hitter. The sin-black shaft is topped with a wickedly designed head of considerable weight. Any normal human would have difficulty even carrying the battleaxe. However, Jericho wields the weapon with ease, and usually one-handed. The Dreadnaut grants its chosen user with increased strength, triple that of the strongest human. The blade itself also has the ability to break through any sort of shield or defensive measure, whether it’s a wall of stone and metal, or an energy shield powered by 1.21 giga-watts of electricity. - Handle Length: 100.5 cm - Blade Length: 40 cm - Total Length: 105.5 cm - Image: Musashi: A blade as elite as its namesake, the Soul of Musashi is an exquisitely crafted katana. The hilt is wrapped in black with hints of gold, and the sheath is black and sleek. The tsuba is crafted look like a lotus blossom, and the pommel has an ancient dragon carved upon it. The weapon grants the user increased speed, double that of regular human, as well as a special ability to slash through any material of any thickness. (This excludes materials and weapons deemed “indestructible”) - Hilt Length: 33 cm - Blade Length: 91.4 cm - Total Length: 122.4 cm - Image: Gangrel Heritage: A pair of bladed gauntlets acquired during his Journey to the world Noir. While wearing them Jericho is given all of the physical and supernatural abilities of the Hemophagic peoples of Noir. Jericho is able to lift or move objects 400 lbs with ease, move a hundred feet in a blink, and closely shroud himself in a darkness to move silently and unnoticed. A single ray of sunlight anywhere on his person can pierce his shroud and will cause his boons to disappear, leaving him a normal man wearing a pair of deadly finger-bladed gloves. - Arm Coverage: 20 cm - Blade Lengths: 3.5 cm - Armor Composition: Forge-hardened steel over leathered Gangrel skin. - Image: Gray Wind: The gracefully curved scimitar was the first weapon Jericho ever collected. The black hilt curves slightly forward, and the line of the weapon continues as the bright silver blade sweeps forward, then back again at the point. Other than of expert craftsmanship, it doesn’t appear to be anything other than a simple weapon; whenever the wielder focuses on their enemy and makes a vicious slash, the edge of the blade releases a crescent of energy composed of the wielder's life force. Any normal person would be able to use maybe one or two such attacks, but with the cosmic energies naturally present in the Traveler, this is not the case. He is able to create up to thirty slash attacks, each one razor-thin, six feet wide, and seven inches and its broadest point. These attacks have similar penetration power to the keen edge of the blade itself, with a maximum range of 60 meters. The energy attack can close to maximum range in three-quarters of a second, which gives the average human less than a half of a second to either defend or evade. Beyond maximum range, the crescent will simply fade from existence. - Hilt Length: 31.6 cm - Blade Length: 106.7 cm - Total Length: 138.5 cm - Image: Phoenix Razor: Intended to be a one-handed blade, the gracefully curved steel carries most the weight in the forward curve, making slashing and hacking easier. Red leather wrapped around an ebony hardwood, the handle is capped on both ends by a light steel alloy. His prize from his first intentional challenge against another unique swordsman, the Phoenix Razor provides its own abilities. When he wields the Phoenix Razor, flames dance along the back edge of the blade. The flame temperature can be adjusted with great concentration, and can be hot enough to temper most other steels. The flames themselves can only be extinguished if the blade is encased in ice or placed in a vacuum. If Jericho is wounded while using the Razor, the area of his body that was harmed will suddenly burst into flames, which is useful as a counter attack. If he falls from a great height, a pair of flaming wings, twelve feet in diameter, will blossom from his shoulder blades and slow his descent to a manageable speed. Once his feet touch the ground, they will simply flicker out. If anyone attempted to use the Phoenix Razor without proper fire protection, they could easily be burned alive. So long as Jericho wears his Thermal Armor, he is completely protected from the heat and flames. - Hilt Length: 29 cm - Blade Length: 55.1 cm - Total Length: 84.1 cm - Max Flame Temp.: 1300°C - Image: Ultimate Abilities Pillar of Anarchy: Without a doubt, this is Jericho’s most powerful weapon. Enshrined in a temple and revered as a holy relic, to get past the soldiers, zealots, and monks protecting it required Jericho to use three of his other weapons and all of his guile. Once in his grasp, he learned exctly why it was protected. Aside from being feather-light and sharper than any razor, there is a ring that seperates the blade from the haft that is more than just decoration. The instant the user enters combat the ring generates a psionic field that is sensitive to the user's will. The wielder is then capable of extremely powerful telekinesis and mind-reading. The psionic field also grants the user limited flight abilities, mostly used to glide over the ground at variable speeds. There is a down side to using this weapon. The longer it is used, the deeper into madness the user will fall. All the voices and power will deteriorate the wielder's sanity and they will lose the ability to distinguish friend from foe in only ten short minutes. Complete chaos ensues in fifteen, and the user will simply go on a destructive rage.
