Techniques
Class I Abilities:
Flying- by using his Epsilon Field, Carniku can fly through the air
Energy Beam- after activating his field, Carniku can control the energy and fire it as a beam
Energy Shield- Using his energy, Carniku can shield himself from small attacks
Hide Power Level- By not activating his field, Carniku can hide himself completely
Sense Energy- The alien cells in his body react to super-human powers so he can track a signal within a several mile radius
Class II Abilities:
Epsilon Field: Output - Output is Carniku’s first engaging of the Epsilon Field, this state generates a blue electric like field around his body that glows constantly and stands a good distance outwards, it normally takes the shape of a flame but has formed into a bubble, a box and even a spear. The energy is condensed and can act as a shield when focused. In this state, Carniku’s energy attacks are vastly increased, he becomes exceptionally powerful at dealing with his own energy and can over-power most basic energy attacks if met with one of equal power (i.e. In this form, a Zer0blivion is more powerful than another Class II attack if its not charged or enhanced by a similar technique). This form is called output because the energy that forms over the heart begins to leave a pattern or a trail forming outwards in small bolts effectively forming the shield from the outside, hence Output. The downside to this form is it does nothing for his physical powers, he still only has his usual base amounts of strength and speed but because of the enhancing of his energy and the formation of the field, it is still a more than useful transformation. As with all of his Epsilon Field transformations, it does require that he expends power to form but it requires very little and is self-sustaining. This stage is strange as the unleashing of energy tends to enhance the body by default so it seems almost a handicap for it to specialise in the way it does. Although Output and Input are technically of equal power in different areas, Input increases more areas and was discovered later so Output is described as his first state. It’s worth noting that unless this form, or another is active, Carniku is unable to use energy of any form and is (for all intents and purposes) a normal human being. Meaning, he can hide his energy, but only by effectively cutting himself off from it.
Epsilon Field: Input - Just as Output is an enhancement on Carniku’s Energy based abilities by forcing his energy outwards, Input does the opposite by increasing his speed and power by forcing it inwards. In this state his physical abilities are on par with a Super Saiyan 2, just as his Output state puts his Energy based attacks on par with Super Saiyan 2. In this state his aura closes in around him and forms a thinner field that glows a sparkling dark blue and his eyes too begin to show an odd sort of light, the energy that forms over the heart pulses outwards in this state. This form has been used to enhance Carniku’s speed in all areas, in moving, attacking and in flight. By using this transformation Carniku can cover great distances in fractions of the time (a good thing as he still gets queezy when he’s forced to teleport). His strength also increases to keep up with this. The major downside to this is that his energy abilities decrease drastically and he becomes far weaker at energy attacks as well as taking more damage from them if they connect but in contrast the physical damage he takes decreases. This is how the Epsilon Field is usually used by forcing energy inwards the user can become much more powerful. The major advantage to the Input state is that it works in balance with the Output state, Carniku can switch seamlessly between the two of them to give himself an advantage in a fight by changing based on his opponents own preference for fighting, although the Input state places more stress on the body and has been known to cause migraines if Carniku travels to fast in it.
Aoi Tatsu- The third stage, and the one unlocked only recently. The source of Carniku’s Epsilon power is revealed, a connection with an extra-dimensional creature that referred to itself as at the “Blue Dragon” through the cells in his own body transforming. The transformation into this form is difficult as it requires a massive focussing of energy and a completely calm mind or a massive surge of emotions coupled with physical trauma. Essentially, he can only achieve it when he has absolute peace or is on the brink of complete collapse. The major cosmetic changes it causes are also important. Thin blue lines show all along Carniku’s limbs and his eyes become single blocks of blue light. His hair too becomes streaked with cyan colourants and seems to grow an extra two inches or so. Also of note is that his physical features gradually mutate as he fights, his nails growing and becoming black after 10 minutes, antler like horns growing from his forehead after 25, and whisker like structures developing after a half an hour. These changes also co-incide with jumps in his power output, but this can be addressed below. In terms of power increases, this form starts as a combination of Output and Input with an added .5 approximately placing it as a moderately strong form, but specialising in speed. In terms of movement speed and reaction, Aoi Tatsu is immediately obvious as a huge increase in these areas, making him fast enough to appear to be teleporting, but this is only to provide enough time for the other changes to take effect. After his nails alter, Carniku gains a strength boost and channels Epsilon energy through his skin. Effectively, his blows become electrified making him stronger and any blow he does strike causes more damage. Even when blocked, they cause pain and makes him harder to strike. When the horns develop he gains a boost to his energy wielding, allowing him to use it without an obvious motion of his hands. It always comes from the area above his heart where his previous transformations occurred but can fire out with no sign of warning and follows any direction Carniku mentally sends to it. In effect, it becomes an energy ‘tail’ fitting the dragon motif. The final upgrade simply consolidates everything, removing the added effects but making Carniku a fully balanced and upgraded warrior, placing him on par with a high level SS3 form warrior. This form is generally a last ditch option as the long term effects it’ll have on Carniku’s body are unknown and, frankly, he doesn’t seem to want to test it.
Ten-Ikazuchi- Pretty much a fancy name for “Energy Manipulation”, in the way he controls his Epsilon Energy aura as hard energy not just for show in his Aura. By activating his Epsilon Field, Carniku gains complete control over his energy and can make sure it isn’t absorbable as well as shape his aura and attacks. He uses this as a weapon from extreme distances; controlling his field like extra limbs. This is an exceptionally versatile technique that can be used for attack, defence and a large number of other applications. It can only be used in the Output state however which is very rare for one of Carniku’s technique (although, most energy techniques require his Field to be on to have any decent kind of power). It usually turns into a blanket of blue lightning on the ground as well as a thick layer around his hands to manipulate it. The major problem with this is the speed, as Output is the only state he can use it in his physical abilities are at their base so he can’t use the increased speed or reflexes of later forms. But the range and versatility combat this flaw as he can form a bubble of energy to protect himself. It’s called Sky Thunder as the technique he uses to finish the blanket off is to raise it all upwards and bring his whole energy slamming downwards in one big blast before it all fades and reforms around him. Technically, Ten-Ikazuchi is merely the manipulating of his aura but Carniku thought it sounded more intimidating with his extremely poor Japanese vocabulary he named it Sky Thunder. Also likely due to his being prone to flight during battles.
Zer0blivion - Carniku's trademark technique, pretty simple in application and a stroke of genius but has since become his stock attack. It's a classic ‘Energy Beam’ performed with one hand. The blue blast has helped him win against a number of opponents and if in a fix it's always the first thing his mind spring for doing. He first used while he was fighting with the Juin rebels, but it was one handed by accident when his left arm was badly damaged by a tank's shrapnel. Zer0blivion was made up because of a comic Carniku used to read when he was little, it was the name of a Ray gun in the old Captain Rayfrey comics. Since he felt it was a similar thing he decided to copy it, the attack is most unique in Carniku's innovations with it. He can do two at a time and shoot in two different directions at once, or do that in a sweeping circle of energy and even once fired one from his feet and shot off into the air as well as using it to deliver a more powerful kick to someone's head. It forms into three pillars of Epsilon Energy that swirl around each other when launched forming an energy braid. It’s Carniku’s signature because it’s easy to form and is both quick and powerful, even if it does make him predictable. It can be used in any form, provided he has the Epsilon Field active. It’s main attribute is a powerful piercing effect rather than being a bath of energy.
Mokuryuken- The legendary sword of the Inuzuki family was called the Chiryu, It was in fact a wooden oak Bokken that has been mystically enhanced by a spell from an ancient Japanese god. The wooden blade does not have a sharp edge and is only used for battering really, convenient in that it never takes a life without the wielder putting enough strength behind it to make sure it happens. It is a powerful weapon considering it is made of wood, but this is probably due to the ancient god that has enhanced it. There is strong evidence it is indestructible considering how many times Carniku has used it to batter enemies who have armour that is harder than any kind of wood. It has no Tsuba but written on the end of the Bokken are the Kanji symbols for "Earth" and "Dragon." The legend surrounding the sword is that the originator of the Inuzuki bloodline who’s name was simply Son, went to a deity called Kenrojijin and asked for the power to defend any who were weak and abused. The deity gave him a choice, the Wooden sword of someone who seeks to better themselves and train or a metal katana for someone who wishes to deal death. Son chose the wooden one, defending didn't have to mean killing. He chose wisely and the Chiryu has been a force for good ever since. Ryden enshrined it in the old temple and on Carniku’s choice to return to Eden, he sought out the Bokken and found to his dismay he had to undergo a trial to reclaim the bokken. In his new form, the bokken was not powerful enough to fight the coming battles. If he could choose the correct path and show his wisdom Carniku would be given the bokken back. He came to a cross-road and was asked to choose a path by asking the only civilian, but he had only one guess and the sign stated that the civilian may be lying and he’d need to use his wisdom to find out what way to go. Carniku took some time to think about it, he asked the civilian which way he should go and was told right. He then kicked him in the shin and the civilian began ranting and screaming how he wasn’t in pain, so he went left instead. Despite this, he was given his new bokken, the Mokuryuken. It now had a vine wrap on the handle for grip with a trail that could extend at command and the kanji had changed to “Wood Dragon Sword”. Other than this, it retained the same traits of the previous weapon, but is described as inflicting ‘nature’ damage by some weapon experts. Carniku has no clue what this means.
Raijin-Ryu- An evolution of his father’s style, incorporating elements of his own body structure and abilities, it’s Carniku’s defined martial art style. The core features of it are based on quick strikes and being nimble in combat, often resulting in strikes being made and an immediate retreat to avoid counter-attacks. While it does involve grapples and locks, they are few and far between since Carniku has confessed he himself is not great at them as he tended to ‘over-do it’ when applying pressure to the wrist, which isn’t exactly a problem if the opponent can throw cars at people. It is notable that his training in this style has meant that even without his transformations and energy abilities, Carniku is still a skilled combatant and even if he isn’t technically super-human in his base state, he is able to hold his own against once to the extent he won’t die, which should express why it is technically above a special skill. It's most useful application is in subtle 'weaving' through physical attacks, although this doesn't work particularly well if the enemy is obviously faster than him. The Raijin-Ryu’s official finisher move is a bizarre spinning round-house combined with an axe-kick and a jumping kick. The end result is a whirling dervish of pain but against a super warrior it’s only an annoyance. If he performs the same move whilst in his Input state however, it suddenly becomes more important…
Sekai no Kobushi- Carniku's only bokken attack, it involves unleashing the mystical energy sealed inside it for one particularly devestating attack. The bokken itself glows with green energy and will begin to disperse energy 'leaves' as it gathers power. As it takes no effort for Carniku, he can still fight while it charges, but once it's fully charged he's alerted to it by the vines around the handle suddenly spraying loose and a loud humming sound from the sword. The technique itself requires an expanse of land to perform it on since it's an Earth elemental attack, it won't work on artifical floors or water. Once standing on the ground, Carniku thrusts the sword into the ground, shouts the attack name, and a wave of yellow energy rolls out through the earth causing an earth-quake. The ground itself revolts and will launch up in uneven spikes and chunks, effectively a circular diameter of around a kilometer will suddenly explode. Along with the flying rocks, yellow energy from the sword will also fire off but this isn't quite as threatening as huge bits of stone. This technique is limited since it requires fairly hard ground in order to be damaging (while it would work with normal turf, grass and soil aren't really damaging) and Carniku can't activate it at will, it only starts if the sword itself feels it needs to protect something or that Carniku is protecting something altruistically. Shouting at the weapon doesn't make it activate.
Class III Ability:
Taisen no Seiryu- Despite the interesting name, this is essentially a Hyper Zer0blivion. By focusing huge amounts of energy into one hand, Carniku creates 4 spiralling rings of energy in concentric circles that when released form into a rough shape like a dragon (since he felt the urge to give a nod to his ‘benefactor’) and will blast towards the opponent. Unlike the normal Zer0blivion, the special trait of this attack isn’t that it’s piercing, but that it’s explosive. The beam will chase down the opponent and once it makes contact, releases energy to stun them before exploding in a shower of blue energy. The effect often results in a storm-cloud from the changes in pressure and the attack itself is exhausting for Carniku. He’s able to use it in his Output form, but it’s a lot easier to charge when in his Aoi Tatsu state.
Energy Overload- Carniku’s strongest attack, but also the one he uses the least due to the enormous strain it places on his body. In order to release it, he has to be perfectly relaxed and calm himself. Cutting off any use of the energy, he suddenly summons as much as he can, exceeding the normal amount hundreds of times over as it builds and builds. The very initial stage of summoning the energy generates a small field around him as the energy rapidly rebounds inside as more and more gathers. Once ready, Carniku unleashes the stored power in a detonation comparable to the Tunguska incident. The energy doesn’t vapourise whatever’s in it’s path but the sheer kinetic force will crush it or cause them to be incinerated by the arcs of blue lightning. The attacks radius is stupidly wide, covering almost 5 miles, and attempting to teleport will only allow the energy to follow you as it zaps through the empty space created, but the after effects are devastating. Carniku can’t access his otherworldly powers for a whole day, 24 hours as a normal person who is also completely exhausted. If he doesn’t win with this then he may as well have self-destructed as he will be nearly done.
