A few days before the first K-bomb launched, the mighty Juin Navy sailed swiftly and silently from its safe Harbor. The fleet kept close, in mass formation, like countless other routine test launches. Then, when it cleared sight of Juin land, it suddenly fragmented into four distinct groups, as per King Gage’s Instructions. Admiral Soto kept a close watch on the maneuvers from his flagship. He was an old sea hand; he could sense the mighty vessels of his fleet like another could feel their own arms. Still, this mission had a sense of grim foreboding. Gage had not explained the purpose of this mission, but the military man was no fool. One did not deploy 90% of such a fleet on whim.
So, during the calm during the storm, the Juin ships sailed unnoticed across the sea. Their stealth capabilities far outclassed those of the other nations of the world, and they chose distinct routes, avoiding high traffic trade currents and avoiding the area around the Guardian’s island entirely. A few hours before the K-bomb detonated, most of the elements had reached their position. The offensive vessels had fractured into three groups. The largest group of combat vessels, and most of the aircraft carriers took positions within the Lemon Sea between the Geat Continent East and the Central Continent. The second group took up positions just north of Isysia. The final group of combat ships had the most difficult and vital role. They first escorted the mass fleet of transport ships that had poured into King’s bay bearing the invasion force, and, having completed this task, they moved north, setting up just south of Generica.
As the K-bomb fell from scorched the Western Continent, Admiral Soto’s voice rang out to every combat ship in the Juin battle fleet, from the hulking battleships, to the aircraft carriers bearing the the pocket dragons and bombers, to the smaller destroyers and interceptors, who would bear the drudgework of their upcoming assignment. [glow=Blue,7,300]”Men, you have your orders now. Form up and don’t let anything through. The King has determined that we are going to take back the Western Contient, and to achieve that we must rule the seas. Remember, do not fire on any vessel that does not fire upon you, just turn them back to their docks. Our job is to prevent any force from reaching the Western Continent before our troop can get set up. You know your duty, now serve your King and your Nation!”[/glow]
When Soto finished, across the entire Juin fleet there was a mass cheer. The men loved their commander, and they trusted his judgment, even if this was the closest thing to combat any of the men had ever seen. A few hours after the bomb detonated, the cloaking devices and stealth fields dropped, and the Military commanders of the world gasped as the Juin fleet registered on radar for the first time, fully in position to half all travel between the continents.
Meanwhile, Admiral Soto was on the line with one of the assault carriers near the Central continent. He gave these orders with less enthusiasm, as he knew lives would be lost on account of his decisions. [glow=blue,7,300]”You have your orders. Launch the fighters and bombers with the transports to follow. You will obey your King and wipe out this rebel base before it can compromise his plans.[/glow]
