The sky had turned black during Kain's flight. He had no idea where he was going, he just flew forward, not stopping for a second. Unbeknowst to him, he had flown around the globe and was now back where he had left from. He landed quite some way away from the city, wanting to avoid any human... or Saiya-jin for that matter, company.
It seemed like no intelligent life lived where Kain was, it was a simple forest, which seemed untouched by civilization. Just like Kain wouldn't mind being for now. He was sure lucky he hadn't worn any armor in his fight against Zack. He doubted that they'd be able to make something like it here, at least not for free. And whatever they'd make wouldn't replace it... It was the Saiya-jin armor of his first kill, an elite Saiya-jin warrior. It had gained a somewhat... sentimental value over time, over battles ad victories. This armor had seen him through everything.
It was funny, to an extent, how one of two things Kain had grown somewhat attached to was something like armor, ordinary armor, which was actually outdated and obsolete. It was strange, how man's (or in this case, Saiya-jin's) minds worked. Though Kain didn't care about what others think. Popularity with people wasn't a priority in his life.
But the other thing... Kain laid down on the grass on his back, his arms behind his head, looking into the stars. maybe there somewhere was where he had come from. 'I wonder how's she doing... What's she doing right now... what time is it over there...' questions like these filled his head, echoing off the walls of his mind, amplifying with every rebound, growing to the volume that would make some lose their mind. But not Kain... he was used to it already. With certain determination he looked into the clear night sky, when there seemed to be more stars than usual. It was barely more than a new moon, only a small crescent-shaped white strand could be seen. Kain's surroundings were calm, the wind blowing into the small hill/clearing Kain had found from above, despite the dense woods all around him.
Kain had found some fruit and calmed his stomach, and now could finally get some rest, under the largest tree near him, positioned with his feet towards it, so that his head was just beyond the shadow of the tree's branches and leaves, so he'd have a clear look at the sky. Thinking about her always calmed him for sleep. Kain's eyelids slowly gained weight, him blinking for longer and longer periods of time. Finally he closed his eyes and fell asleep, not having a clue on what he'll be going through soon.
