((Sorry for the EXTREME crappiness of this post. Life's biting me in the arse again.))
Yuri, in the meantime, had his own problems to take care of, and ring outs were far from the top of the list.
He knew his opponent would teleport to get out of the blast; it was probably the only thing the man COULD do, after all. What he didn't quite expect, however, was to be used as a human meat shield against his own attack.
It didn't matter, however. He always had a back-up plan.
First, however, he had to worry about enduring the blast he had created. The force of the explosion slammed into him like a runaway freight train, pushing him into Tunks behind him and throwing the both of them clear across the arena.
Yuri slammed into the ground, bouncing off of the ground with such force that he was sent careening into the air, spinning helplessly as the explosion ripped through the area. His body slammed into the force field ceiling, flattening against it as the explosion crushed him against it.
As the force of the explosion died, Yuri was freed from his bondage against the arena force field, and began to plummet, dazed, towards the enormous crater below.
The crater had by now covered the entire arena, and most of the area around the ring, turning it into one giant hole in the ground. The floor of the ring had been obliterated.
Yuri blinked, groaning heavily as he opened his eyes, wondering where he was for a moment, and then memories flooded into his system.
His muscles tensed, and he became immediately aware of his surroundings once more, using what little energy he had remaining to stop his fall, slowing down to a stop in midair about thirty yards above the arena crater.
Power was returning to him, at least in a sense. He was still exhausted by all sense of the word, but...his strength was growing. He was gaining his second wind.
And he was pissed.
Yuri let out a blood-curdling cry of fury, emotions bordering on being near-primal. He let his instincts completely take over; his mind was no longer in the battle at all. Thinking was unnecessary; all he was concerned about was taking Lycan down.
His power began to rise, steadily, but more importantly, his strength was now beyond the scope of his normal limits.
It was time to finish this battle, before it became too late to get another chance.
With a final grunt of pain, he tensed his sore, burnt muscles up, and launched himself forward at Lycan. There wasn't much time. He had to act fast.
It was time to end this.
