In a flash of white light, Alykoth left the training chamber on Eden, and within moments he found himself in a strange place.
It looked to be a cavern of sorts... the 'walls' were bare stone; mold and cobwebs decorated the surface, and it was apparent no one had been here for a long time. The floor, like the walls, was also stone...as was the celing(sp..). A weird odur filled Alykoth's nostrils... it smelled of... of nothing he had come across in his lifetime. Feeling he had been brought by the will of another, Alykoth was almost uncomfortable. But, he felt that if this being had reason to summon Alykoth, they had reason to be afraid.
*That is, unless, they are stronger than I...* He thought to himself. This thought brought a wave of sudden uneasiness over Alykoth. Never had he truely met someone actually stronger than he was... Ture enough, Gabriel was strong... as strong as Alykoth even, but that was only when desparation took hold, and they had not seen eachother for sometime.
Nevertheless, he took a step forward, then another, and another. Soon after, he found himself walking down the passage-way laid ahead of him.
His walk was nothing short of uneventful. Not one thing had he seen that seemed out-of-the-ordinary, except the odd carvings scattered here and there on the stone walls.
After what seemed like many hours of walking, Alykoth came to an opening in the passage. He stopped a few meters before the mouth of the cave, wondering what could lay beyond him. He peered into the gloom, and even with his amazing sight, could not make out a single shape. Perhaps that was it, perhaps there was nothing in that cave mouth.
He continued his steps, and was in the cave-room within seconds.
He stood near the center, not knowing what to do with himself. Then, the weird scent he had found earlier came back, but more pungent this time.
The smell assulted his scenes; clouding them, and leaving him with a feeling of helplessness.
Then, out of nowhere, a voice echoed through the room.
You have arrived. The voiced boomed.
Alykoth looked puzzled.
Show yourself... or are you a coward? He answerd.
There was no reply for quite sometime, and Alykoth got to thinking maybe it was this strange scent clogging his brain...but, just as that thought entered his mind, the voice spoke once more.
If you wish... It said in a deep, hollow tone. But, be forewarned...for you do not know of us. Then, as the last word was spoken, there was a sound like thunder, and a thick fog rolled in out of nowhere. The thunder-claps continued, and Alykoth was forced to close his ear slits. Finally, the sound died down, and the fog dissapated, leaving behind a ghostly figure.
Alykoth was suddenly gripped with a feeling of terror. He had never seen this figure in his life!
...Or had he?
