Somewhere in the country of Celena a portal had mysteriously opened up. Revealing nothing but endless darkness within its depths, the portal ominously hovered above the picturesque landscape it had appeared over. A deep shade of violet radiated from the outlining of the void, strangely illuminating the fields of flowers that decorated the area. Gusts of winds occasionally broke the silence of the fields, but it was a bloodcurdling scream that shattered the tranquil mood. Originating from the depths of the portal, the cry become louder until a body was thrown out from the abyss. The owner of the body, a 23 year old male by the name of Lex, violently skidded across Celena’s landscape. His destruction of the beautiful terrain ended once his body had reached a halt several yards away from its point of arrival. "Oww…" Lex groaned out as he began feeling the effects of his rough landing.
Riddled with pain that seemed to not have come solely from his violent arrival but from events he had experienced outside of Eden, the human was in bad shape. His clothes were torn to shreds, exposing skin injured by numerous gashes and bruises. A mixture of sweat and blood had collected over Lex’s face, as well as other parts of his body, transforming his dark brown hair into a mess of tangles. The mess had covered one of his green eyes but revealed the other one, which was currently showing signs of pain and confusion. "Man, what happened?...Where am I?..." Lex said to himself, all the while coughing up blood in between sentences.
Sprawled out with his back to the ground and face to the sky, Lex wasn’t sure if he was still in North America let alone Earth. He tried to sit himself up to get a better view of his surroundings, but physically couldn’t. The remaining energy he had was being used to heal his body, leaving no energy for movement. Damn it, this shouldn’t be happening. This wasn’t what I had planned… Lex thought, as a puddle of blood began collecting underneath him. He was losing too much blood fast, and though his best was being done to heal his condition, it wasn’t good enough. The injuries sustained to his body were just too great.
There was no way Lex could survive through his own means, he was going to die. No, f**k this! My life isn’t going to end this way! I gotta live, I gotta finish what I started! Lex’s thoughts read, as he willed himself to make one last effort to remain alive. Drawing upon the energy being used to heal his injuries, Lex sent out a mental SOS message to Celena’s inhabitants. He had the message span several miles in hopes that it would reach someone, refusing to let the afterlife become his next destination. "It’s done…" Lex muttered to himself, feeling his life fading away. Soon after his mind slipped into unconsciousness, ending any further speech from the new arrival to Eden…
