New Arrival Crash Lands

The small, battered ship cruised along at a reasonable speed. Jinx was training. Nothing much else to do on this old junk until something came up in the merc want ads. If nothing else the changeling Nanodan was practical when it came to military equipment. The small cruiser was barely large enough for deep space travel, but provided a few appropriate amenities such as the training room. Jinx rushed from side to side, jabbing holographic targets with his spear. He flipped the back wall and charged a group of automated live targets. The three targets began firing back. He spun towards them deflecting blasts He threw his spear at such an angle as to knock out on remote and block another. Suddenly a remote slammed into his mid-back sending an electric shock into his spine. Jinx crumbled to the floor, his limbs jerking from the shock. He rested on the ground. The last job on Daran II went better than I could have expected, the pay was…well…at least it bought me a full supply of fuel and some…suddenly the ship started rumbling.
Jinx ran to the front of the ship. He flipped up into the pilots seat. There was a large meteor storm all around him…how did this come out of nowhere? The sensors should have picked them up, cheap piece of Changeling junk! Red lights were flashing on every panel and all kinds of alarms Jinx doesn’t even recognize are going off. The onboard A.I. sprang to life displaying a holograph to Jinx’ right. “Jinx, I recommend you land on the planet below. Sensors indicate proper atmosphere, high concentrations of humanoids, and sophisticated technology and power sources.”
“Right, lets do this.”
Below on the planet, which neither Jinx nor his A.I. new is called Eden, things on the large, Eastern continent went on as normal. While above Jinx was struggling to maintain control of his badly damaged Changeling vessel which had just entered the upper atmosphere at far too sharp an angle for a safe landing. Unwittingly, somehow intuitively, Jinx managed to make a final course correction that would slam the nose of his stolen vessel into a soft hillside, well soft as far as hillsides go anyway.
Jinx woke up to the smell of smoke and a completely shattered windshield. He managed to drag his dark blue, but bruised body out of the cockpit and onto the cool grass of the hillside. The sun was bright and the wind blue of his skin, reaching through the tattered remains of his shirt. I can already sense power levels of all kinds…must be some kind of warrior planet…Jinx is far to dazed at the moment to focus on any individuals as they leap in and out of his consciousness, but he thought one might be moving towards him.

Jinx had been passed out for hours. In the mean time the day had turned hot, the sun hung overhead. Zounds! My head...oh...the meteor storm... Jinx got up and stretched and out his bruised muscles. His head was still spinning, he tried to concentrate. I need to find the highest concentration of life force...that should be a major city... Jinx sat down and took a deep breath. He focused and cut through his spinning head...concusion?...there to the west. Jinx felt an increadible concentration of people, millions. His head started spinning again from the storm of lives surging through his conciousness.
Jinx got up and started rumaging through the remains of the ship. "A.I., you still working?"
"You betcha Jinx, I'm running on backup, cold fusion, lasts longer than you'll need fleshy"
Great...I nearly get smashed into a mystery planet and have to deal with the one smart-ass A.I. in the entire universe. Jinx disconnects the A.I. unit and sticks it in his pocket, remembering it having told Jinx there was an ear piece he found it in the portable unit. Jinx was able to find a fresh pair of clothes. He found his galax [spear] a canteen and a few unopened food rations. He took off in the direction of all the bustle that had caused his head to spin earlier.
No ship, little money, not a soul on the planet I know...whatever planet it is I'm on...what's a lost Myrmidon to do?
The sun was still over head, Jinx' canteen, half full.
(OOC Jinx is unknowningly moving towards the tournament)
