(OOC: If anyone is in the area...feel free to try and stop me!)
The city was in a hysterical frenzy since the death of yet another member of parliment. New Hamburg was crawling with law enforcement all searching for anyone who could have done any of the handful of murders that have been occuring to high government officials.
High above one of the chapels in the city, he sat on the cold roofing tiles and smiled inwardly to himself. His eyes glared off towards the sunset where soon it would be time for him to continue his service to the one who hired him. He didn't bother asking questions anymore and all he wanted was to remain unseen which is what he was best at.
The darkness of the night covered him like a blanket and nobody ever saw him. The temporary blackouts in certain areas of the city, where just so happened to be where each murder took place, were no power failures. Everything that was happening was his and his alone, not a single person could touch him.
The sun had dipped below the horizon and the sky became a dull blue mixed with purple. In a few hours, the moment would be opportune and he would strike his next victim. Another casualty in the recent anti liberalist movement that was occuring in the country. And he, well, he was a paid employee who got his joy out of his work. It was all he wanted and all he could ask for. Rising to his feet, he jumped down from the roof into an alley and ran off into the darkening city, awaiting his time.
((OOC: I'm sooooo sorry for being inactive and such, I really didn't want it to happen but my home comp got fried and I couldn't really do anything for a while. Right now I'm on my mom's work laptop, so please be patient with me))
The hours became minutes as he waited, tucked in an alley just a few seconds from the next member of parlament. He sat silently and watched as the heightened security would constantly pass by his alley, but not be aware of his presence in the darkness. He shook his head at their lack of ability and stood up from his corner. He had even stopped using cover they were so slow. After the next pair of guards passed the alley, he began to move.
Jumping over the fense in a single bound, he landed quietly on the grass and hid in the shadow of one of the many trees that created the cover he needed. The rest was relatively simple. He ran to the nearest window and with precise timing, pulled out his sword and sliced a perfect circle. Tucking his body and leading with his feet, he jumped through the pre cut glass and there was no shatter. Then he reached to his feet and caught the displaced glass before it hit the ground and held it up, landing softly on his feet. Laying the glass down, he continued to move into the center of the building where he began.
As in all the other murders, everything became pitch black but his black eyes were accustomed to the dark that he created. Now came his favorite part, toying with the victim. He climbed the stairs and accentuated every step. The victim was blind in the dark and now all he would hear were his footsteps. Now he heard the victim's frantic footsteps, they never knew when to scream until it was too late. He made it to the doorway and kicked it in...now was his time to scream, but it was too late.
Before his mouth could open, his throat was slit by a flying dagger that he released from his hand. Walking over to the wall where the dagger ended up, he pulled it out and watched the poor sap bleed to death. It was too bad, they will never really learn what to do to stop him. Oh well, here came the confusion and his retreat. No need to be silent now. He broke through the window on the second floor and began his rooftop retreat.
It had been days since the last assasination he had to carry out and has since gone back into his usual life of hiding. He was not the most social person, fact was he never really spoke to anyone at all unless it was about a job. It seemed that all the members that they wanted assasinated or scared off were just that...dead or gone. His life seemed to get easier and easier now that he was able to relax without worry of another job. But life can't always be easy, even for an assasin.
These few days had been kind to him, but today would bring a new challenge, a letter. He opened the poorly sealed envelope and took the letter out. It seemed harmless enough, but decided to put it aside for now. He would read it during the night, when things always went his way.
