After healing his wounds from his fight with Bryce, Neojiisu left the South pole as fast as he could. He flew full speed towards the equator, hoping for a tropical change from the freezing cold of the south. He flew over the wastelands of the Western Continent, passing craters, rubble piles, and sparse vegetation. It made him think about the Infiltrators that were killed trying to defeat Qua-Jin. He felt another fight brewing towards the east, perhaps on the Central Continent, and he wondered what kind of trouble the world was in this time.
"Yes! I'm here!" Neo looked ahead and saw a strip of beach. This was the northern coast of the continent, where the water was warm and the sand was soft. He kept on flying while throwing off his shirt and kicking off his boots. He managed to strip down to his shorts just before he dove head-first into the water.
"Woohoo!!"
Everything was quiet, and the water was perfectly still, when Neo burst up from beneath the surface.
"Oh yeah, this is the life. Good sun. Warm water. And no one around to bug you. How ironic, in a way, I should thank Qua-Jin for clearing this continent of all life for me. Juin should definitely claim some of this, it beats Mangels for sure. I could build a summer home here, too."
He stopped floating in place and started backstroking across the water, keeping his eyes closed, feeling the sun beat down on his orange skin. A vision of Ms. Li flashed across his mind, I bet she'd look awesome in a swimsuit, it made him chuckle to imagine it.
"Yes, a summer home here would be nice... very nice."
He swam for another half-hour, diving down to the bottom, looking for signs of sea-life. Apparently Qua-Jin's fury spread far beyond the land. He passed over the sandy sea-floor, which was barren for miles.
How horrible. I bet this place was so beautiful before... when I build my home here, I'll have to rebuild this, too.
Finally, the quiet got to him: the beach just wasn't the same without the party to go with it. He took the towel from his duffel bag and dried himself off. No one was watching, so he changed clothes right there on the beach. Besides, if anyone did see him, he could always blow them up.
Neojiisu stopped for a moment to feel for nearby powers. Alykoth's familiar aura resonated through his mind-- Indigo was close, too.
"Eh, I'll leave Indigo alone for now. I'm sure that I'm the last face he wants to see while he's on vacation. I wonder if Alykoth is busy?"
He flew off towards the north, quickly crossing the gulf between the two continents, hoping Alykoth would sense him coming.
