Roos blinked in the new light and he and Inari reappeared in the first place Inari had instinctively sent them to. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, and Roos shaded his eyes as he looked around their new surroundings. He scowled as he remembered the happenings of the day so far; their arrival had been met by attack after attack, not exactly what Roos had been hoping for during his exploration. He was still recovering from Tonmg Lieng's appearance, and he paused to wonder what had happened to the others; 'Niku, Talia, Gohitz, and the rest of his friends who had followed him through.
Sighing, he decided to focus on what they would do next. They had appeared in a brand new area, which looked to be a very small settlement. There were some scattered wooden homes, and tow or three bigger, brick houses, but other than that the entire area was desolate, except for some weak looking trees, and the sand at Roos' feet. Turning around, Roos saw that they were at a coast, and the sea stretched out ahead of him. In the distance, Roos could see the grey towers of the Rooslandic Empire, even from here.
So that must mean that wherever they were, it wasn't within the influence of his evil self. "Ina! Roos fink we am safe now!" Roos cried with a grin as he strode further up along the beach confidently, when suddenly something burst out of the main door of one of the brick houses, and a strange blur suddenly shot towards Roos. The ltitle Goblin side-stepped just in time, and the Juin soldier crackled into visibility as his cloaking device failled him.
"Damn damn damn! Mayday mayday! The enemy is-!" The soldier yelled into his comm-unit, when he was sudeenly tackled to the ground by Roos. He then sat cross-legged on the soldier's chest and, with his arms crossed, asked, "'N what does 'oo fink 'oo am doin'?"
"My king!" Inari cried out in surprise as she saw something blurry whizz past her position, narrowly avoiding it herself, Una as well reacting at the very same instant due to the complete syncronization between them, thanks to Karius's training. When their protites and monites appeared with them, the soldier's eyes widened greatly, and were it not for Roos's presence on his chest, he would have definately freaked out.... but... this Inari was different. She was younger, she was less terrifying... and her spiritual force did not feel like it was going to crush him flat. She was a managable Inari, one that lacked the greater one's terrible presence and glowing body.
Inari blinked at this man's fading look of terror, and smiled and waved to him cheerfully. "Hello!" she said nervously, and knealt beside the man, staring at him a little guilt-fully, her caring eyes looking the man over as she bit her bottom lip and looked at Roos. "Sorry to startle you... We arent our dark counterparts!" she soothed to the nervewracked man.
<But you are me...> her voice replied in return. Only... she did not say it. <Arent you, young one.> it came again, sending shivers down her spine across her telepathic link and in the real world. Inari's face flushed and she looked around in a slight panic.
<Oh, dont bother looking for me. Relax.> that voice came yet again. Inari froze, and tried to act natural, offering the man at her feet her name. "My name is Inari... we're the emperor and empress's trans-dimensional counterparts sir... we're not here to hurt, we're here to help... arent we...?" she asked Roos.
<Good...> Dark Inari's voice came across their link. Despite knowing who was on the other end, Inari drew a kind of comfort from it... it felt like her mother was talking to her. <Dont be afraid. You know if I really wanted to I'd have destroyed you on the spot... but I did not want to, my alternate little me...>
<Why...?> Inari replied to her dark self... <You could have killed us both easily...> she dared to pry a little, rubbing her forehead, which was starting to cold-sweat a little.
<Stop sweating, little one.> she said, <And put your arm down. I dont want either Roos to know we are talking,> she said. Inari's heart fluttered, and she smiled cheerfully and shook her head in the real world, making a bah kind of gesture. Her telepathic link was safe, after all.. nobody could pierce it.
<You're different from me... on a fundamental level...> the dark one said across their link. It slowly dawned upon Inari that her evil counterpart knew exactly where she was. Was watching her, and yet... she was completely out of reach. She had a spy network, that meant... and had a large number of beings under her power. She was... everywhere.
<Like... I'm not evil?> Good Inari retorted, a little nervous despite being told not to be.
<Now... do you really believe that? What is evil little one...? Were I evil... you would be dead. Were the emperor truly evil, this world would not be ruled in the best interests of the ruled. We would have killed everyone long ago. This would would be nothing but ash and the skeletons of civilizations. > she said. That made sense.
Shadole phased into existence upon the new land. The android ninja began to do a process he should of done once he got here. He began to go though mental-frequency scans in order to pick up any technology that could assist him like GPS, major non secure communication souces and other such technologies. He quickly realized that the global satelite system that the Karius of his world had installed existed in this one as well though it was a different frequency. Once he had accessed the terminal and recognized their new location to be Juin he recieved a message. "Shadole of another dimension I pressume, what is you and your fellow warriors intent in this world?" Shadole was expecting this action to occur and so he calmly replied, "Observation and if deemed neccesary by the team assist in any conflicts which appear to be abound. Karius, what are you doing about this situation?"
"Nothing. Once realizing Truth I stopped caring about this world and I simply want to see if Roos can do something right for this chaotic world. If he turns out to be errant I will involve, in the end it matters not.
"I see, you are different yet similar to my master. Well then I assume I have permission to access to your technologies?"
"Hai, as long as you make sure to protect your group especially Inari and Una."
"Understood."
With that the conversation was over and Shadole summoned five kunai and launched them into what appeared to be deserted land until five clanks were heard and the men that were in position were cut out of stealth and their weapons went flying. "I don't like weapons pointed at us especially those ready to fire. Now let us take this with level heads because you will not be stopping us any time soon." Shadole turned to Inari and Una and with a bow stated, "Forgive my lady Inari, lady Una for my delayed actions previously. I am in full capacity to assist now."
