The Imperial Mohawk took a deep breath, slowly, and looked up at the huge, dark structure ahead of him. Steadying his nerves, he wondered again why the Emperor always asked for his report at night-time. Of course, he knew the reason was just to make him as nervous as possible, but he couldn't help wondering as he approached Fort Comealot. Ever since the Emperor's rise to power, Fort Comealot had expanded into a whole island dedicated to the Emperor and his home. Currently, the Imperial Mohawk was walking through the courtyard outside the actual domestic part of the Fort, trying to ignore how many invisible sniper scopes were aimed at every part of his body. Despite the fact he wore the black and red armour of an Imperial Mohawk, no-one was to be trusted; at least, not by the Crimson Guard.
In the middle of the Courtyard stood a ten foot tall statue of gold, up on a marble pedestal, and it was here that the Emperor liked to meet. Our Imperial Mohawk paused to stare up at the statue, as he had a thousand times before, and feel the history of the man it was dedicated to. He wore similar armour to that of the Imperial Mohawks, but he didn't have the spiked shoulderpads, and it was more slim-fitting; thee Imperial Mohawk armour was bulkier, armed with much more weaponry, and much more durable, thanks to the Beomund technology so helpfully dedicated to the Emperor's cause. The statue held his helmet under his arm, and was smiling out at anyone looking. In amongst the dark gloom of the courtyard, without any foliage and covered in concrete and steel, this appeared to be the only decorative item.
The Imperial Mohawk couldn't help but remember what his friends had said about the statue; they said that this man's death was the spark the Emperor had needed to start his campaign. He wondered if this was true, as the Emperor had unified a number of warring nations under his rule, which seemed to be a good thing. In fact, almost all of Eden was his; the only nation that still resisted was, of course, the Juins. Our Mohawk spat on the ground as he thought of them, breaking their regulations for the first time in centuries and allowing fleeing rebels into their country. Any who defied the Emperor would perish. The war continued, but only on the Juin Continent; they were fighting a losing battle, despite the addition of the infamous rebel leader, a traitor to the Emperor himself. Our Mohawk wondered brielfy what General Zamodier, the man in gold himself, would say about the current affairs of Eden. He had died in the Registration War, defending the future Emperor... who had just appeared walking from the right wing of the courtyard!
The Mohawk snapped to attention instantly, his gun pressed against his chest with his left hand and his right scrunched into a fist and pressed against his helmeted fore-head. He watched the Emperor approach with awe; he stood taller than either of the two Crimson Guards who flanked him, as well as the three Imperial Mohawks who trailled behind. His long black coat was open at the chest, as always, to reveal a very muscular and finely toned upper body. His copat reached his ankles, and at his waist spilt into two different trails. He also wore some dark brown leggings and shining black boots, with deadly-looking spurs at the heel. He wore no crown on his head, but his face wore a determined, yet aloof expression as he approached. He knew he was in no danger. But what was more, he knew he never could be in danger, ever again.
As he reached the Mohawk, he went down to one knee, his fist still pressed to his forehead.
[glow=black,2,300]"Stand, Lieutenant."[/glow] the Emperor said wearily, and as the Mohawk got back up, he noticed that the Emperor was not looking at him; his eyes were fixed on the statue of General Zamodier, as they often were. The Lieutenant coughed and said in a slightly shaky voice,
[glow=green,2,300]"Erm well... my liege, my report is on the result of the five simultaneous raids that were conducted in Juin three days ago."[/glow] The Emperor nodded for the Lieutenant to continue, and he stole a glance at the two Crimson guards still flanking the Emperor. Their red robes completely concealed anything you could see, except for their one, glowing blue eye, which poked out of the head. They watched the Lieutenant impassively as he cleared his throat again.
[glow=green,2,300]"The er first raid went off without a um hitch, sire. We eliminated the weapons factory along with two Juin fighter craft and injured seventeen of them. The second raid was not as successful, acheiving our target but losing three X-506 Battle Droids in the progress. The other three raids were met with tough Juin defense, and decided to retreat rather than risk casualties. Still, those three raids earned us a twenty-one dead Juin and rebel body count."[/glow] The Emperor smiled darkly at that, and met the Lieutenant's eyes for the first time, causing a chill to run along his spine; both of fear, and of excitement,
[glow=black,2,300]"They'll think twice before trying to do battle with us, then."[/glow] His bright yellow eyes pierced into the Lieutenant's soul, and not for the first time he felt his Emperor moving through his mkind to see if there was anything he'd forgotten. Thankfully, he didn't find anything, and the Emperor nodded, satisfied.
[glow=black,2,300]"Thank you for the report Lieutenant. I'll speak to Proffessor Gohitz and organise replacement Bio Droids for the X-506 ones that were lost."[/glow]
[glow=green,2,300]"Yes, my liege."[/glow] The Mohawk said dimly, his nerves fraying at the thought of seeing anymore Bio-Droids; like the Crimson Guard, they were utterly heartless killing machines, and just as capable of reforming their genetic structure, something this young Mohawk had never stopped finding creepy.
[glow=black,2,300]"And on the next raid, you are to go out as well. Lady Inari will be leading you. She will be able to strike fear into the hearts of the Juin and Inuzuki once and for all."[/glow] The Emperor turned away at this, spitting on the ground as he said Inuzuki's name. The Mohawk watched him leave in shock. A raid! And Lady Inari leading it! He couldn't believe his luck. If he could impress the Lady Inari enough, perhaps he could get promoted!
The Crimson Guard and the three Mohawks that were the escort all dropped to one knee at the same time, adopting the salute pose, and so did our Lieutenant. They all said,
[glow=green,2,300]"HAIL ROOS!"[/glow] At the same time, before promptly disappearing from sight and senses, off to take part in theor own tasks. The Emperor, left alone, sighed and lookd back at Zammy's statue. Stroking the back of his neck with a red hand, Roos muttered to himself,
[glow=black,2,300]"Hail Roos..."[/glow] Then he clenched his hand into a fist, and glared up at Zammy's statue. The winds suddenly picked up and started howling as Roos spoke aloud,
[glow=black,2,300]"Do you see what I've accomplished, Zammy?! Do you see how I've grown?!"[/glow] His black hair suddenly sparked up, the sign of a Dark Goblin, and the entire courtyard began to glow with an eery light.
[glow=black,2,300]"Who would've thought it could be THIS easy?! And why is it... why is it that victory is so... so very... empty..."[/glow] The lights in the courtyard died, and the Emperor dropped his head, his black hair falling across his face.
The Mohawk had grown as Roos had into his adult form, and it was now more a double Mohawk as there were two spikes side by side, ending in a long pony-tail that reached his ankles, tied very tightly together so it just looked like one long black rope of hair. Stroking the Mohawk back off his face, Roos sighed to himself. He needed to see Inari.
(OOC: INTRODUCTION TO DARK ROOS! WOOOOT! And I also mentioned 'Niku's Gohitz's and Inari's roles Any bad guys under the service of Emperor Roos may post here whenever they want.)
