The clock struck twelve on the fifth day of the tournament. Only a quarter of the original thirty-two finalists remained, but the crowds had quadrupled. While it was an off day for the main events, the World Junior Martial Arts Tournament was still in full swing, and the same crowds who rolled out to see the adults fight the day before will still here, cheering on the next generation. The Jumbotron was on twenty-four hours, televising the main match at Io's Colosseum, showing the brackets, or playing the Highlight Show. When the church bells sounded at noon, all of the matches stopped for lunch, and everyone crowded the plaza for a major concert.
The burning sun fired up the passions in the already frenzied crowd, and a riot almost erupted when a drunken fan purposely ran over a fire hydrant with his trunk. The man was arrested on site, but not before a geyser of water flooded the street. The police got the situation under control before it got out of hand, but the energized people kept partying at a hyper pace well into the night. In the evening, the brackets were announced for the Quarterfinals, scheduled for the next day (Day 6).
