Indigo walked through the hotel in disguise to avoid being mobbed by the crowds again. Instead of his normal dark brown, faded and spiked hair, he went for a black buzz cut with shades of grey around the sides. His icy blue eyes were now dark brown and he tried his best to look older. He even wore khaki slacks and a black polo shirt to look more like a tourist than a fighter. When he walked up to the front desk, he even gave an alias, "Garin."
"Yes sir," the man at the desk replied, "VIP floor, room 2B."
Indigo followed a bellhop into the glass elevator, and the young boy pushed a card into a slot next to the buttons. The VIP floor was only for the privileged few; there were only 5 rooms on that floor. The elevator shot straight up and he watched the blinking field of lights and the bustle of gamblers on the casino floor disappear below him. He heard a ding and turned around towards the elevator door. The bellhop waved out his arm, motioning for him to step out first. Then the boy led him towards 2B. Four giggling girls gave him a come hither looks as they disappeared behind a door that read "2A"-- Bryce's room.
"No thanks," he said, "I'm married."
He walked into 2B and directed the bellhop to throw his bags on the bed. He tipped the boy and wished him a good evening. Upon immediately entering the room, the full kitchen was to the left. On the counter was a pamphlet describing the full services they provided, including a personal chef who could come up to the room and cook anything a person desired, provided it was either in the menu or he had the recipe. To the right was a bathroom, complete with a jacuzzi tub and wall-to-wall TV screen. Another pamphlet was on the bathroom counter, describing another service the hotel provided; he just threw it in the trash. He sighed, "That must be what those women in the other room were for. People just don't have any values any more, do they?"
Beyond the kitchen was the sitting area, with a couch, a recliner, and another large entertainment system. The wall at the end of the living room, opposite of the room's entrance, was pure glass, with a large sliding door at the center leading to the balcony. The fourth corner of the room had the bedroom, which was seperated from the living room by a sliding screen door. Between the bathroom and the bedroom was a hallway that led to the training hall. "Nice place."
He slept early and rose early the next morning. He reviewed the intelligence tapes from Neojiisu's World Tour to study his first opponent, Zechariah, one last time. When the time came, he closed the door behind him and went down the elevator. He was ready.
