Sardis stood next to the table in the middle of the floor hearing what everyone had to say. His muscles began to twitch as the life and love of God coursed through his body. The strange armour that was covering his rippled body also seemed to be breathing the life of God. With his head down, Sardis looked at the small silver cross within his hands. Clinching his fist Sardis looked up. Putting the cross back under the armband, Sardis looked towards Karius. Sardis spoke with a comforting voice.
[glow=blue,2,300]"What are your thoughts Karius? What is it that you want to do?"[/glow]
Just before the Angel spoke he noticed Bryce leave the room. Behind the mask, Sardis's eyes stayed on the Tin Man. Sardis knew form the very moment that he first saw this fighter that his heart was filled with great pride. Sardis didn't have any mind reading abilities or any special skills that did similar things. No, he knew this simply by the way the fighter walked. It was in the way he spoke, the way he breathed, the way he stood. Everything about the fighter oozed with pride. 'Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.' (Proverbs 16:18) Sardis knew that this pride was and will be his downfall. With his pride came an underestimation of his opponent. Another down side to this pride was heart. How could a person fight for something that they love? Does a proud person even love, or does he do things in the light of good only when they benefit themselves? Sardis didn't know the answer to any of his questions. What he did know was the fact that Bryce wasn't the only one with a weakness. Within everyone in the room there lied a weakness. Some may know about their own, others may not. Sardis did not judge them for there weakness however for he had a weakness greater then many others. Lack of Faith.
Ever since he came to Eden he found himself doubting everything that had been happening around. Doubting others, doubting himself, and worst of all doubting God. He knew now why so many in the realm did not believe in God. It was because of Lucifer and his demonic underworld. Grip that the demon had on this realm was far greater then Sardis could have imagined. All around these people there was death and destruction. How could anyone find faith when there was nothing to guide them to faith.
Sardis stopped his train of thought looking to Karius, waiting for the mystic's response.
