Loki
[/justify]He stood alone in this desolate land. Shrouded in the shadows that the night granted him, the slight illumination of the moon could hardly be seen here due to the clouds; there was something about the dark clouds that seemed to be perpetually covering this forsaken land, almost as if they were unnaturally formed. Who would wish to reside in a place like this? It was below the standard of even the lowest life form. Then again, it wasn’t as if he was the most hospitable individual; he was like to feel this way about anywhere, and he knew it. As he waited the wind blew ostentatiously across the landscape all around him, beating at his clothing. However, the relative silence was broken by the scraping footsteps of someone approaching.
“You are late…Natas.” the first figure stated somewhat shrilly. After a few more drawn-out footsteps the newcomer stopped moving and finally responded.
“I’m getting the strangest feeling of Déjà vu.” Natas’ eyes shone like bright lights at the top of his lighthouse height of a frame, breaking through the darkness of the night without issue. When the other man did not response, Natas continued. “Dramanius, I do hope you’re not going to sulk like the last time I saw you.” this most certainly got Dramanius’ attention.
“I am not to be confused with the likes of you! I, Dramanius, Lord and Master of Chaos, do not sulk.”
“Call yourself whatever you want, but just like me you and your power are tied to Loki.” Dramanius did not respond to this, instead he simply turned his head away from Natas. “Which is exactly why you’re here, just like me, because Loki has summed us once more.”
“I am here of my own choosing, and don’t you forget it.”
“If that’s what helps you sleep at night.” Silence fell between the two for a short while after that, until Dramanius finally spoke once more.
“Why do you think he has called us here?” he asked in quite the nonchalant manner, though the curiosity in his voice betrayed him. “Do you think it is time?” However, before Natas could even attempt to respond raging flames materialised out of thin air no more than a few feet away, completely illuminating the surrounding are. From within a voice rung out.
“Maybe I can answer that question,” stated Loki, following his words out from within the swirling portal of flames. As soon as his frame had exited them, the fire vanished, plunging the area into what appeared to be an even darker setting than it had been previously. “You’re both here because I said so. Peacetime or not, neither of you forget your place.” he spoke without malice or spite in his voice, but with his usual, calm tone that was thick with confidence and power. It was known that Loki was far superior to them both, even if Dramanius would never admit it, and so Natas, with his mask like face, was mostly unreadable, but ever loyal to his master, he simply stood there in silence. Dramanius also remained silent, though it was clear by his expression that he did not appreciate being spoken to like that.
“Good,” Loki began, turning his back from them and taking a few steps away. “now that’s out of the way with, there was a reason I summoned you both here.” Loki turned around and raised his hand, which then ignited of its own accord. He looked down at the reds and blacks of the flame that danced around his hand, before he finally looked back at his two followers. Without warning Loki threw his arm forward and shot a ball of fire through the air. Both Natas and Dramanius moved aside instantly, making sure that it would not hit either of them, and it sailed through the air between them. They all watched it until it suddenly exploded against a nearby rock, which lifted out of the ground to a height even taller than Natas.
The fire unnaturally latched onto the rock, burning it furiously until it was an isolated inferno. The black and red flames didn’t illuminate the area as one would have expected of fire, but then again this was no ordinary fire, instead it caused an ominous red glow. Almost straight away the rock began to melt, molten magma spilling down it’s ever decreasing sides and dispersing across the burned ground. Natas simply continued to watch the fire burn, though Dramanius was far less patient, constantly glancing too and from Loki and the fire. Eventually the rock was completely melted, leaving nothing but an extremely hot, glowing pool at their feet.
Slowly but surely Loki moved between his two servants, walking out into the molten rock as if it was nothing but water; his feet didn’t even smoke as they vanished beneath its surface. When he had made it into the middle of it all, he stopped and bent down as he suddenly plunged his arm into it. It was only below the molten rock for a few seconds, but during that time not even the slightest hint of pain crossed Loki’s expression. It was as if he didn’t even feel the heat, and when he removed his arm from within it, it was still the pale complexion it always was, instead of the burned and bright red that was no doubt expected. However, what was truly important was what the former Lord of Hell now held firmly within his hand.
“…it’s a Crystal of Inequity!” Dramanius suddenly exclaimed. “How did you know where to find it?” he queried, clearly astonished with the surprise discovery.
“I know everything Dramanius. Did you truly doubt your Master?” the statement was solid, challenging Dramanius to speak out against him, but he did not.
“We have the red one,” Natas suddenly added, drawing their attention. “so now we have Wrath in our possession.” all of a sudden Loki began laughing manically, both Natas and Dramanius looking at him questionably; he knew something that they did not, though that was not unusual for the former Lord of Hell.
“No Natas,” Loki finally stated. “not exactly.” he finished, smirking knowingly.--------------------------------------------------------------
