The water was cold, still chill from the night before, gliding across her supple form like a second skin, wrapping itself around her with every stroke, with her every movement beneath the tranquil surface of the lake. She felt alive, deep below the water line, her athletic form turning with the gentle currents, her tail swishing in tiny circles, her mane of untied hair gliding open like an unfurled wing.
She remained like this for minutes on end, the young Saiyan contented within this tiny world, watching the small fish and other local life passing her own, swimming form without a care. Talia smiled deep below the surface of the water, content with her temporary lot in life, her lack of cares deep below the surface of the world, enjoying the moment of calm in an otherwise uncertain world.
Talia paused for several moments, the petite Saiyan upright deep below the waters surface, her torso and legs in a perfect line, her toes pointed down, her arms lazily swishing small circles at her side. She closed her eyes and sighed, her face turned upwards towards the world above, feeling the light of the rising sun even down here, deep below the tiny waves, the coming of a new day, the breaking of new dawn.
After one, final, moment, Talia thrust herself towards the waters surface, her athletic limbs moving with graceful precision to push her ever upwards. With a single beat of her Saiyan heart, Talia breached the surface with a great splash, filling her lungs with a deep breath of sweet air, smiling with ease as she opened her eyes, those chocolate orbs witnessing the rising sun of a brand new day.
The water of the lake was still cold, but she didn’t care, speaking from experience, she could say that the water had always been cold. The deep pool of water wasn’t far from Musashi’s Dojo, situated in the grounds behind it, her favourite place to come too wash away the difficulties of the road. She enjoyed it here, the tranquillity of the secluded spot, the peace, the one place she could subdue the wild beating of her Saiyan blood, the one place she could think for herself.
Talia sighed contently as she ran both her hands through her long mane of wet hair, pulling it back into her familiar pony tail as she continued to lazily tread water. She would have to get out soon, not that she wanted too, if nothing else then simple modesty demanded it.
Musashi would be awake soon, if he wasn’t already, and given the purpose of the Dojo, then the students would probably be turning up at any time. Talia somehow suspected that it would be frowned upon for the youngsters too discover a naked young woman swimming on the Dojo grounds. Alright, so some of them might appreciate it, but she doubted the parents would approve.
As the sun continued to rise in the morning sky, Talia finally pulled herself away from her contented peace, making her way towards the tranquil lakes edge, and specifically the towel and pile of folded clothes she had left there.
