The four arrived on the beach on the other side of the island. They had been tracking a number of strange dark energy signals to here. All of them landed on a stretch of beach. It was low tide and the beach stretched out for nearly half a mile before it began fighting its eternal loosing battle with the ocean. The sand was hard packed and the moon hung high overhead, a viscious cresent, seeming to bode of evil. Behind the group the thick jungle came to an abrupt end, as if it hit a wall at the edge of the beach. Visible a ways down the beach was a large black lump. Too anyone approaching closer it would become apparent it was in fact a number of lumps. A pile to be exact...of bodies. But, no one had time to investigate. Before any of them had time to properly take in the scene around them they were being ambushed.
(OOC: forgot to put this in earlier, these creatures have no energy signature or ki signature, any means other than the five senses will be unable to sense them.)
There was a great caw of birds, both Zaoden and Damius looked up to see three diving rapidly toward them. One was brightly colored with plumage of flame (www.lanceradvanced.com/Illustration/Sketches/pheonix.jpg) and the other two were a massive raven and a greying old Rook.
The brightly colored bird turned a flip in the air and landed on the shoulder of a woman who had seemingly appeared from thin air. She stood barely more than twenty feet from Damius. Her skin was so pale it seemed to glow in the moon light. She was young, probably in her twenties, with black hair down past the small of her back, and not entirely un-attractive. She was dressed in a black evening dress that appeared to be made of dark red leather. A strange juxtaposition to her classy dress a massive rifle, scarred and scorched hung over one shoulder.
"Good evening Damius, I'm Elena, its a pleasure to finally meet you" She smiled and lightning fast unshouldered the rifle and a lance of flame jetted towards the man, the pheonix on her should cawed in delight.
The other two birds, at near the same time, alighted toward the ground. With a sudden caw their bodies shifted and morphed. Feathers fell like snow to the sand, and standing in their place where two humanoid figures. The first was quite literally a giant. He was over seven feet tall, young, and seriously ripped. His dress was modern, a pair of grubby jeans and a tight fitting longsleeve colored in grey and brown. from one hip hung a battle axe with a head nearly the size of a watermelon and his other hand gripped a giant metallic shield engraved with the visage of a roaring lion.
The woman, on the other hand, was of average height and build. She had long wavy orange hair that was showing the first signs of grey. Her age was reflected in the wrinkles on her face. She was also dressed modernly, in jeans and a loose long sleeved top. Over her shoulder was slung a quiver of arrows and she held a large hunting bow in her other hand.
"Bran, Go!" She yelled and nocked and arrow.
"Of course Penarrdun (Pen-are-done)" he replied with a curt nod and charged for Zaoden, drawing his axe as he went. When he was within range he swung a diagonal cut from left leg through right shoulder, before following with a swing from right to left for Zaoden's neck. The attacks were fast and viscious and Bran showed no signs of giving any quarter.
"Are you ready to die, fool?" he asked with a grin.
(OOC: Enjoy guys this is going to be an interesting fight. I'm looking forward to it.)
