I know, this is really late in coming. Anticipation people, anticipation!
The final round, as determined by a random number generator will be:
Karius VS Carniku
Cariku VS Hakuto
Hukuto VS Yuri
Yuri VS Gareeku
Gareeku VS Karius
The matches will be held simaltaneously, but to compensate for the added work we've extended the match length to 2 full weeks.
After the next round we will be able to determine the final brackets as follows: Anyone winning both their matches would enter a championship bracket where they would compete for first and second place. Anyone losing one match would be in the consolidation bracket. If, by chance, everyone loses one match and wins one, there will be a tie breaking round where each person fights one person they have not fought before.
On judging:
The judging of the tournament was explained once on the suggestions board but there have been some questions asked so I’ll state it explicitly again.
Judging of the tournament has been run in this way:
There are three officer or admin judges assigned to each match. Judges score the matches independently according to this ruberic and email their separate responses to the Forced Heroes inbox where they are tabulated:
The ruberic is as follows, with 13 points divided between the two fighters:
First Hit -1 point
Last hit – 1 point
Sportsmanship and Obeying RPG rules (Taking hits, etc) –5 points
Writing Style and Controlling the flow of the match - 5 points
Judges Discretion (Best attack, best dialogue, etc) -1 point
In this way no judge knew what the other judges had decided. Also, no judge was allowed to judge a match in which they participated. In fact, no judge was assigned to the bracket in which they fought. The last round was scored by Ceres, Barnibus and Myself The only variance from this pattern was in the last round; Ceres totaled the votes before I had cast mine, due to an exam that I had to prepare for. Since the other judges agreed about every match except for the match between Alykoth and Gareeku, Ceres instructed me to judge only that match so we could move on to the last round. I will go back and score the others before the match results are posted just to give everyone input, but regardless my vote will not and did not affect the outcomes of any of the matches.
The judged results from ALL the tournament rounds will be put up in on the mainpage as soon as the administrators have time to code it so everyone can see the results from the individual matches.
