Name: "Spitfire" Sutikku
Other Aliases: "Suu works if I like you, Spittie works too. Call me Ku, Suti, or Doggie and I'll show you how my Plasma Arc works.
Age: 29
Species: Hellhound (Fenris Genemod) - In her galaxy, humanity spread far and wide, including to worlds that had their own life and weren't friendly enough to humanity to support civilian colonists. Fenris-class Genemods took native superpredators and spliced them heavily into human DNA to create hybrid species that retained human intellect, or at the very least, humanLIKE intellect. The Hellhounds were desert-faring creatures native to the prison-world of Alkand, ninth world in the Thor cluster.
These hearty, vicious creatures don't need sleep to survive - the planet never has night. They are efficient with water usage to the point that they can live off of a pint of water for a year, and are known as hellhounds for their trademark "fire breath" - The waste their bodies produce is an effective, flammable sludge they can spit through glands under their tongue, and for the oils that their skin exudes, suffusing their hellish red and black coat of fur, flecked with orange, lending them a 'matchstick' smell and keeping their body temperatures at a firm constant, even in the hottest summers on Alkand.
Hellhound genemod colonists share the adaptations of both their parents, stand about six and a half to nine feet tall, and stand bipedal. It has been many centuries since humanity had the technology to make races like this one - After inevitable wars and uphevals, it was forgotten that races like Spitfire's were ever created by men - aliens
were born in the minds of humanity.
Face Claim: I'll draw mah own later
Height:Seven feet, nine inches
Weight: Shouldn't ask a lady that... The suit weighs over a ton, though.
Eyes: Green - She also chose this for the color of the operating lights.
Hair: Bright orange-red with sooty black streaks.
Description: I'll draw a picture later for this, but Spitfire is an adult hellhound female of a slightly large stature from almost a decade working as a Deep Core miner on this station and that. Outside the Exosuit she is an imposing figure, with the distinctive semihunched stature native to her species, standing seven feet nine inches at that slouched posture, almost nine standing perfectly straight.
She is a hound that spent many years around humans - her style, thus, differs from what could be normal for her species. She cultivates a head of hair, which she has dyed dark green to almost compliment her fiery gold-orange fur. Her sharp golden eyes are unusually intense, and reflect wisdom unusual for a person her age. Her long ears are pierced extensively and
As I said before, she has spent a great deal of time around humans. This has also leant her expressions and mannerisms that make her seem smaller, come off as a little less intimidating than she aught to be.
Personality: Spitfire is rough around the edges - anyone who works in active volcanos, around dying stars, and... well you get the picture - it comes with the job. She got the name Spitfire for her fiery tongue. On the job she's a string of virulent curses and foul language. She barrages her friends and enemies alike with a litany of abuse, playful or otherwise. She doesn't mean much harm (just a little), but people tend to take offense to being called asshat or shuttlefuck. Really though, she's a big softie. People who know her well enough usually get used to her jibes, and she does tend to be a little less vulgar with people she likes that take offense to it. A bit.
Spittie wouldn't have gotten as far as she has in her profession of choice if she wasn't a team player or a hard worker. She's both of these things, used to working in groups in heavy situations with an ice-cool head and calculating intelligence. She's an engineer - in charge of a lot of heavy equipment maintainance. She works good under pressure... hell, she thrives in it.
Moral Alignment: Good
Weapons and Equipment:
HIVE Industrial Exosuit, Deep-Core Mining fit: Its her breadwinner - a suit of powerarmor made for work and play in hazardous environments. Its around ten feet tall, weighs over a ton, and is an elegant piece of civilian technology that keeps many a miner coming home to their families.
Plasma Arc: Its big, it flings a concentrated stream of plasma, and it's not fragile... That's right kids, its the Deep Core Miner's bestest friend - the Plasma Arc! Its not technically a weapon, but it's somebody's propaganda that they aren't used like that. It cuts through solid Duranium, rock, tough chitin, flesh, and bone alike with frightening ease and precision, so its no big surprise. Fancy mining pick, yes?
Manufacturing Subsystem: The exosuit is mostly self-contained, and is capable of processing raw material then manufacturing things from schematics.
Special Skills: Deep Core mining - getting minerals and materials from the deepest parts of planets, in solar-orbit gas harvesting stations, and anywhere hot, dangerous, and generally risky. Its an interesting job, especially when things that LIVE there begin to dislike you and yours for making a lot of loud noises.
Equipment Maintainance - She takes care of her own shit. Hell, she can make it from rocks to polished equipment, she knows it so well.
Deep Core Engineering - Its what she DOES for a living, after all. Of course she's creative - comes with the job.
Character Background
Relationship Status: Single
Family: She was an orphan to start with, so she doesn't have family in a traditional sense, though she DOES have nakama - people she grew up with, close friends she can, or at least COULD rely on in a pinch. They're from her galaxy, and thus an unbelievable distance away now.
Place Of Birth: She's a spacer, born on the mining colony Blue19
History: Blue19, an asteroid-mining colony, wasn't a bad place to grow up: Honest folks live in places like that, working hard and raising families. Blue Gardens orphanage never has a shortage of kids - its a hard fact of life that a miner's job isn't really a safe one - accidents, sickness, and simple hard work claims many lives, father and mother sometimes. Sutikku was a mining orphan, just like the rest. She was raised by miners, being told stories of honest work and triumph over nature her whole life. Some kids didn't want that life, but from a very early age, the 'Hound child, the only one in the colony, aspired to follow in her father's footsteps: She wanted to be a Deep Core miner.
She worked hard as soon as she could legally work in the mines, and went about her occupation like it was more than just a job - for her, it was a living, life itself. Spitfire's spirit and tenacity was endearing enough that she drew the notice of the Blue Devils - her father's deep-core mining corps, operating deep space and looking for skilled applicants.Sutikku made the cut at fifteen years old, and continued her father's legacy as a Deep-Core miner.
Turns out, finding an actual alien artifact that folds space is bad for current employments.
Techniques
Class I Abilities
-"Fire" Breath - Without a source of flame, its a STRONG irritant that can paralyze with agony. WITH flame on hand, its a sticky, burning glob of something in your face, oh god oh god get it off! She can project it even with her suit on - thank god for creative engineering.
ROPEM: Remote Operation Precision Excavation Missile. Its a high-precision rocket made for blasting rock - The HIVE Deep Core Mining Exosuit produces them, about four an hour in optimal conditions. The payload varies, of course.
-Basic charge: She fires it, it stays in the air some twenty seconds, whether it hits something or not, and explodes when she says it does - not on impact.
-Hammerhead Charge: A heavier missile with a blunt tip and more fuel - its made to push things. It has a boom, but concussive force only, children - this one's made for movin' things, not annhialating them.
Exosystems - Life support: What kind of exosuit would it be if it was useless for protecting you against the elements? Elements like the nothingness of Space (TM), solar radiation, Exposure to molten rock, and smiley faces being spraypainted onto your hull? Well it wouldn't be much of one at all, now would it? This thing will keep you ticking for a long-ass time in the most adverse of situations. Comes with soothing music (which she replaced with... other things).
Exosystems - Massless Maneuvering Thrusters: These spiffy maneuvering thrusters operate on similar technology as modern warp drives, and ignore mass - she can fly like a hummingbird with a little practice in a big one-and-a-half ton exosuit.
Class II Abilities
-Vent Coolant: Nothing says "Hi, how ya' doing?" like a directed blast of caustic coolant flashfreezing you. The suit can produce a little surplus of this and keep within safe levels, but she can't do this one too much. A little goes a long way.
M3D: Made originally for moving rock and matter without the need for explosions, diverting lava flows without dangerous, time-consuming labor, and tech-savvy artistic expression, the Matter-Mass Manipulation Driver was made to allow an operator to shape surrounding landscape hands-free using distorted bonding fields. Its an elegant pain in the ass.
-Freeshape: Its not a quick way of doing things, but it is the way of doing things when you want to do something you're not prepared to do in the field with a digital schematic. Too slow to be used as a method of attack, Freeshaping is nonetheless useful in combat for creating cover and reshaping her environment a bit.
-Schematic - Aegis: With a scematic, the m3d can create something almost instantly, snapping nearby matter into shape in seconds. An Aegis is used most often as a panic button - interposing solid rock between you and... whatever it was you wanted to avoid. Its very sudden - sudden enough to fling things like a cannon.
-Manufacture Drone: There are places human hands just weren't meant to work, and places the Exosuit just can't go. Drones give the HIVE exosuit its name - Computer-operated, these drones are fit with a smaller Plasma Arc, a massless hoverdrive system, and zero-point energy manipulators. They're about the size of a cat, and six or seven can 'nest' in special ports on the exosuit. The images and data they gather is projected onto visible area to the exosuit operator.
Tractor Beams: A heavy version of the Drone's zero-point manipulator (which can lift about 250 kilos), these shoulder-mounted pods are controlled by neural actuation, leaving the arms and the operator's attention on more delicate work. These units each can lift about a ton of material and exert force on it freely without impeding her - similar to how the massless thrusters work. NOTE: Tractor beams aren't very effective against energy, and life forms are hard to keep a hold of, the slippery devils. Against living things and energy, they can punch, push, pull, or lift. Its solid energy: It will hurt.
Class III Abilities
Mass Driver: Aka, the Rockenator 10k. Its an anti-material device stored in pieces on the Exosuit's chassis. It takes a moment to assemble from components and requires the Exosuit to be perfectly still with special stabilizer supports. Its no laughing matter: This is one hell of a tool, made to utterly end everything in a general that-a-way direction. Its a golden beam around six feet in radius at its apex, and can be fired as long as she has ready access to coolant - which she must burn up for its operation - and a lot of energy - After firing this badboy, the Exosuit will barely move, and it can't be put away or fired again until it cools. Good thing one shot is usually good enough.
