(OOC: Heh... it's been WAY too long...)
With a shout Kain's compact frame tore through the massive glacier, chunks of ice flying in all directions, blood dripping from his wounded, bloodied fists. The months he had spent in ruthless training in the North Pole had truly paid off.
The mountain of ice crumbled around him, tiny shards of ice raining all around him, and for the first time he took a moment to look around and appreciate the beauty of this place. It had been only dark for the first month of his stay, or at least what Kain assumed was about a month. In truth, he had long since lost his sense of time in this place, where it had been day for a long, long time. He watch the sun reflect in the glimmering bits of ice, which were everywhere, as the glacier behind him slowly, unwillingly cracked and fell apart.
It was one of the most beautiful sights he had ever seen, the white far-below-zero desert reached as far as his eyes could take him, the blistering cold wind blowing Kain's snow-white hair so that it nearly hid his face, but it couldn't hide his eyes. That blood-red, intense stare, which would seem to be unavoidable even if it was hidden behind a wall. The only part of his body showing movement besides his hair was his tail, slowly, almost playfully swaying behind his back.
The young Saiyan was a rather pathetic sight. Though it was only natural, considering all that he had gone through. His Saiyan clothing was torn and mostly gone, nearly his entire upper body bare and seemingly unprotected to the extreme temperatures of the North. His gloves were long-gone also, falling apart soon after he had begun breaking glaciers with his fists. It seemed the diving into ice-cold water had done something to his body, too, as he no longer felt affected by the cold in the least, with time finding himself capable of making it as warm as he wanted. And his insane training regiment had increased his power much over what he once was, and, which was most important, Kain had worked on his weaknesses, honing his mind and body to make it more efficient in battle. Needless to say, the change will be felt.
"Alright, time for a quick recap," Kain said to himself, as he had long since grown accustomed to talking to himself, when he had no guests in this frigid climate besides a pack of penguins and some polar bears, which had also grown weary of him once they realized they were below man in the food chain.
Kain threw a quick glance towards an exceptionally large ice formation behind him, then slowly put his right hand to the left side of his face, in the same manner as he had done many times over during his training here, then suddenly spun around and fired a small Fatal Flash, stopping it seemingly at the same moment he launched it. If one blinked, he could have missed it. The Saiya-jin moved his palm out of the way and saw that everything in the range between his palm and the iceberg had disappeared, even the block of ice itself having a large hole in it.
His eyes quickly traced his surroundings and his sights were locked on a smaller, yet still impressive mountain and was at its foot in the blink of an eye, his right hand held at his neck like a knife. A slight glow of white could be seen surrounding his palm for the brief moment of speeding towards the glacier, when Kain stopped all of a sudden, the dim light growing into a bright, shining blade, which surrounded his forearm and stretched on for a bit, its tip shining the brightest. Kain swung his arm in the direction of the ice mountain, and suddenly the blade grew to a ridiculous length, going straight through the ice, severing the entire mountain from its base. He quickly moved the blade back below the enormous ice block and, with a grunt of strain threw the whole thing high into the air.
The blade around his arm disappeared and he quickly relocated himself to the center of where the mountain had been moments before. Kain looked up, and saw the block of ice slowing its ascent and nearing the apex of its flight. He quickly crossed his arms in front of him and clenched his teeth, his entire body tensing, his muscles bulging. Steam began rising from his body and the perfectly level 'floor' his cut had created was beginning to melt under his feet, the air around him becoming distorted because of the heat.
Suddenly the entire mountain of ice he had thrown up into the air crashed down onto him. A moment later the mountain turned a bright, shining red from within and exploded, Kain standing as he had been. The Saiya-jin clenched his fist and grinned. "Perfect!"
Then he felt something strange. It was... a presence. He didn't know how to sense Ki, so that wasn't quite it, but he felt someone near, and he could tell, he knew exactly how it felt when there was nobody around. He spun around, looking for the presence, for the person behind it. "Show yourself!" He had no idea.
(OOC: Gary, that's your cue! Let's RP the crap out of this return thread )
