((Continued from "Free at Last" and "Revenge, a Powerful Warrior Unleashed"))
It wouldn't be hard for Julian to trace Nero. His ki signature was far different than any other in Eden. Using his Psychic power he quickly located Nero, he closed his eyes and instantly he appeared on the small lake-front beach south of Capital City.
Nero was standing as if he was ready to fight already.
Just as I had hoped. If you could read my mind, I would suspect you of doing so.
Julian had a purpose for being here. He knew that Nero was trouble and that he would do anything he could to topple the Generican Government. If it was up to him he would rule this country with an iron fist. Julian couldn't let that happen.
They have sent me to take you back. Will you come willingly?
They? You mean that corrupt excuse for a government you are being used by?
Julian furrowed his brows as the thought crossed his mind...he would know if he was being lied to. He would know if they were using him--his psychic abilities would tell him so.
I know what you're thinking. You think that your so-called Psychic powers would alert you to such treachery, but do you not think they have constructed ways to subdue that psychic power by now?
Julian shifted his feet in the stand as he faced Nero, both of them with their sides to the lake, Julian's left and Nero's right.
I've put my trust in Generica and they have not proved me wrong. One thing I do know is that you are a threat. Not just to the government, but to all life. If I have to fight you, I will, but know--you will not win.
Awfully confident. We shall see now. We shall see.
Both fighters stepped into traditional fighting stances. They had both had the same training--but Julian had far exceeded Nero tactically speaking. Because of his capability to learn extremely well he knew that his ability was greater than that of Nero. But Nero had developed ways of beating Julian--he couldn't be tampered with telekinetically or psychically. He had far greater ability with ki and he had actually infused his fighting style with ki, thus, making him just as strong and fast as Julian.
The two warriors simply stared each other down. They waited for the first move to come...each one ready to fight. They had fought many times, but now would be different, now it wasn't training. Now it wasn't a game. Now it was a real battle with real consequences...now their lives depended on it.
