Alykoth stepped into the huge, ornate hotel on West 42nd street. Being in Generica, the hotel didn't have a name, as such. It was simply the "Terminal Club." With the rear of the hotel overlooking the Medaxial Ocean, and every room service imaginable, it was classed quite highly among the inhabitants of the country.
The over-sized, double glass doors closed behind Alykoth with a wooshing sound, and heads turned to see who the new entry was. The heads stayed turned.
A few open mouths could be seen through the crowd of business men (and women), and most could not take their eyes off the giant alien. By now, though, Alykoth was used to stares, and casually walked over to the reception.
A small flight of stairs led up to the desk, and all six of these were taken in a single step. The clerk swallowed a glob of saliva.
"C-can I help you, s-sir?" He said, his eyes somewhat transfixed on Alykoth's spiraling sets of horns.
Alykoth grinned. He liked the certain...respect he got from people, even if was out of fright.
[glow=black,4,500]Hm, indeed you can. I'm looking for a man named...[/glow] the giant paused. Did Ra'keth think to have a human name? He couldn't remember.
[glow=black,4,500]Ra'keth...[/glow] Alykoth's eyes narrowed at the clerk, who seemed to break under the stare, and consult a large book for the answer.
"I-I'm not sure we have anyone by that name living here, sir. But I'll check the book." He said "the book" as if it was something of great importance. Alykoth took note of that.
The clerk, whom Alykoth observed to be rather small, leafed through a great, black, hardcovered, spiral-bound tome, until he came to rest on a page with a large, embossed "R" at the top.
A lengthly finger traced down the left column of the page, scanning for a name. Then the right side.
"I'm terribly sorry, sir. We have no "Ra'ket--" A pause. "Oohhh, wait a minute, here." He said, tapping a spot in the lower corner of the right column. "We have a Mr. Ryan Keith. Ring any bells?" He asked, most politely.
[glow=black,4,500]Yes, that'll do. My thanks.[/glow] Alykoth stopped, for the clerk looked as if he had something to say.
Alykoth cocked a brow.
"Well, sir...It's just that, I can't really let you--"
[glow=black,4,500]Can't let me what?[/glow] Alykot inturrupted, as he produced a generous amount of green bills from a leather pouch on his waist, and held his hand out over the desktop. He opened his hand, and let fall the group of bills.
After doing so, he eyed the clerk.
[glow=black,4,500]Go on.[/glow]
The man smiled. "Room 307, here's the keycard."
Alyokth smirked. [glow=black,4,500]Very nice. You have my thanks...[/glow] With that, he turned sharply, and walked off toward the elevator. Most of the people had gone back to whatever it was they were doing.
